Wrong...I've actually met him a few times in HS and in College.

HeightHeight w/o Shoes
6' 10.256' 9"

He is not a 7 footer...

edit: Also you ever seen him standing next to a 7 footer? When he stands next to LeBron. He is only slight (inch maybe) taller than him. Google some pics of Durant next to LeBron

Really. Brewer's rating is low too. And why are they on Wall's nuts? 81 is rediculous

As I mentioned, if they were young and unestablished players maybe.

But don't look at Dirk Nowitski's rating as a way that 2K doesn't think he is good.
Agreed. Both are arguably Hall of Famers (Timmy should be a lock, Dirk is close in my opinion). But I do think that the disparity between Dirk and Timmy is a little too much this year. I said before, Timmy should be a little higher maybe a point or two.

Amare's an 86 and Gasol's an 89. None of the 3 defend or block shots well.

Oh and sorry...NBA doesn't have a stat/career category for strength...
Nowitzki 7.7 rpg 1.0 bpg 37.5 mpg
Stoudemire 8.9 rpg 1.0 bpg 34.6 mpg
Gasol 11.3 rpg 1.7 bpg 37.0 mpg
Duncan 10.1 rpg 1.5 bpg 31.3 mpg

Stats for the 2009-2010 regular season, which ratings for NBA 2k11 happen to heavily based on. Dirk is a horrible rebounder and a below average to bad defender, who excels on offense from the mid-post out. 83 is right where he should be.

Nice way to back me up K-Dub. Thank you.

Jr.,

You have to remember how the overall ratings work. You cannot just say that Tim Duncan should only be 1-2 points higher than Dirk Nowitski. The overall rating factors in skills that are relative to that position. If you look at skills relative to the PF position, then the comparison between the two is not close.

If we are talking about their dominance or their importance to the league, then you would have a case. But you have to remember that the overall ratings do not work that way.

i'm sorry, but Gasol should be rated higher than Tim Duncan, Duncan's time has passed Gasol dominates Duncan and is more consistent now. Look at Gasol's playoff numbers, he is the most consistent player on that Lakers team. Carmelo Anthony is not better than Kevin Durant or Pau Gasol Either...Joe Johnson shouldn't even be close to Kevin Durant, and is not nearly on Gasol's level either. Hopefully I don't see Magic ****in Johnson with the 89 overall again, whoever gave him that rating don't know anything about basketball back then.

Certain qualities weigh a little more heavily when the game calculates overall rating. The categories I named are the main categories for power forward players. Dirk Nowitski's skill are not reflective of his overall rating, but he can shoot the hell out of the ball. If he cannot shoot in 2K then I will complains.

Strength is not a stat you are correct but we know that Dirk is lacking in that department. Not a "power" forward
That's cool man...agree to disagree. I can tell you don't watch alot of basketball because if you did you would see Dirk killing all of the "power" forwards in the game. Next debate...

DropSeven,

Dirk is still not a player that would have a high strength rating. Dirk does kill players but he isn't strong.

Duncan's still right there with Gasol. If this was the end of the 2011 season I'd agree though. Tim is still a better defender (one of the best in the league STILL) and his offensive skills are still there as well, though he's no longer as good as Gasol in that area. The numbers to look at though is MPG. Gasol plays 6 more minutes per game than Duncan. I'm sure the stamina rating reflects that.

The ratings don't mean that much. Noah is probably a 73 because he doesn't have a high mid/3pt shot etc..but he is a beast on the boards and defense.

Reke
Beno
Greene
Landry
Dalembert

I can't be too mad with Reke's rating, pretty fair IMO. I'm looking forward to see what DMC got.

This. Duncan had pretty much the same stats as the last few seasons except his efficiency went UP. I have no problem with him being a 90. I'd still rather have him on my team for one year than Dwight Howard. Obviously I'd pick Dwight moving forward, but for one year, Duncan's the man.

i like the way the ratings are done in FootballManager (most realistic soccer manager).

u have physical (8 attributes), mental (14 attr.) and technical (14 attr.) categories each on a scale from 1-20 and no overall rating which is very dodgy anyways in sportsgames.

the physical and mental attributes can even completely apply to bball as you might see here http://3.bp.blogspot.com/__sOLC-jIKT...+performer.jpg

Any legend ratings? I always had a problem with how they were rated in the past. If LBJ/KB/DW are 97, are we to assume MJ will be a 99? I would also assume Hakeem Olajuwon would have to be a 99(wasn't he in 2k10?). Mailman a 97? Does anyone remember Magic and Bird's ratings in 2k10? They weren't 99 right(probably b/c athleticism)? I remember Ewing being a 95 and thinking that was too high. I remember Drexler and Shaq(Is anyone else hoping they brought back his dunk package with the hanging on the rim dunk?!) were too low as well.

Anyway.....
I like the ratings this year. I do think Rose should be an 87. Scola an 80. Dirk and Yao i would say high 80's but i realize that their offense is elite, but with weak defense(Yao's defense can't be put into a stat, his size alone alters so many shots in real life). Joe Johnson an 86. Kleiza high 60's. If Wall is gonna be an 81 already, Blake Griffen should too. Ariza is too high, 75. I don't understand how Amare is 86 and Dirk and Yao are 83. But, i guess his athleticism boosts his overall?

Good lookin all around, but as always, i'll edit to my own liking.

I hear you guys...I'm talking about right now right now. I saw him recently...but anyways, he definitely must of had a growth spurt over the summer. He's 6'11 now. Either that or he wears heels...

I agree this will be the starting line up. Evans will make the move to SG just as Wade made the move from his rookie year.

Rondo has advantages on the defensive end that Rose doesn't have. I know yall played that demo Rondo is uber aggressive on defense and got 2.3 steals per game last year. I mean the guy is 1st team all defense in the NBA last year and he was on the second team the year before last. He led the league in steals, 4th in assists as well so I say his passing ratings should be better than Rose. So his awareness is probably better Rebounding Rondo is a better rebounder not just defense but offense. Neither are great perimeter shooters Rose is slightly better than Rondo but he isn't great from the perimeter. Rose is slightly better than Rondo from the freethrow line but he isn't great.

Rose advantage to me is his athleticism so his dunk rating would be higher. So I see why Rondo get the edge.
I do unstand that arguement,......BUT....Rose outside game is light years ahead of Rondo. Not to mention that Rose carried the Bulls last season. Their was a span of about 6 or 7 games last year where he was flat out dominant against Western Conference teams. I 've never seen Rondo not once carry the Celtics When the rest of the team was flat. We have even mentioned that Rondo is playing with 3 Hall of Famers.
