Agreed that no team should be an overall 99. I'm glad they feel like our team deserves that, but in the end it'd be no fun playing with a team that powerful.

Also to the ones that have been knocking the Alabama fans, not all of us are stubborn. Yes I admit some just make me sit and shake my head in disbelief as well, as do some other fans from other teams, but I also know they have great fans as well. Heck my best friend is a Tennessee fan. I'm extremely loyal to the Tide and make the yearly journey to A-Day every year with the other 92,000+, and will root for them when overmatched (see Shula years), but don't base opinions on us based only on what is seen on internet forums and message boards.

Not sure I agree with the D being that high, but time will tell.

We have more than one returning starter on defense.

I'm going based on TCU's reputation. TCU's offense is always fairly mild. Regardless of returning starters, they are not an elite 96 rated offense. Likewise, no matter how many starters they lose, TCU's defense is always excellent. That's not going to change. It might take them a handful of games to get to their usual elite defensive level if there is a lot of turnover this year, but there's no reason to think they won't get there. They might run up some nice numbers on Colorado State and such, but the offense is above average at best.

Of course teams will be re-rated by many.

Again, I wish they would allow us all 120 offline TB teams in a Dynasty because many teams need to have the school info (Prestige, playbook aggreassivness etc...) edited to proper levels.

With my roster's, there are NO teams rated in the 90"s because that would require over-inflating many player's on the team to reach that OVR rating.

I always re-rate to how the "In-game player generator" creates player's, meaning Power schools will have (few 5 star, some 4 star, many 3 star) player's, while lower tier schools will have (No 4/5 star, few 3 star, many 2 star, some 1 star)
Thus team's OVR drops by 10 minimum accross the board, but Power schools usually play/win like they are supposed to against lesser talented teams.

Can't wait to see how player ratings perform in the retail version.

I hate Alabama as much as the next guy, but there's no sense in attacking an entire fan base because a few ignorant people. Alabama should be somewhere around 94-96 offensively imo. Let's not get this discussion off topic before it starts..

Thanks. I was hoping we would be 4 stars but that was a longshot. And yeah that D rating does seem a bit high.

Georgia Tech's defense is 89? What the? I would have given them like a 74....90 on offense seems about right losing Thomas and Dwyer, but we got lucky on D. I'll take it though.

I think its about even. Offensively you all ar superior to us. Defensively we are superior to you. Special teams wise, return wise you guys are better, kicking and punting we are better. You are the "evil twin". Now that Olson is gone as our O-Coordinator and Danny Suckyvan is gone, our offense should be much improved.

seriously dude it wasnt really the defense, it was scheme and bad coaching ratings are based off talent of the players not the output shown in real life.(example UGA in ncaa 2009 prob over rated but was still one of the top talented teams in the nation that year) our offense does neeed to be higher because our ratings do no reflect a ranking of 12 as its shown on the game and i do believe in real life that tech is a #10 - #15 kind of team

I'll give you credit for three returning starters with Hightower, Barron, and Green. Two corner positions and two linebacker positions aren't even clear yet who will start.

Hardly worthy of a 99 rating on D.

# 53 jolson88 @ 06/17/10 05:00 PM
Okay, I'm an Oregon/Oregon State guy and I'm a little bit surprised about a #4 rating for the Ducks. But that may just be me.

Also, sweet, with an overall of 60 (tied for lowest with Eastern Michigan), it looks like Western Kentucky in the Sunbelt will be my rebuild project this year . Though UL Monroe at 64 could be fun as well. Too bad it looks like stadium expansions won't be in this year though . I don't want to be stuck in smaller stadiums after I'm a powerhouse program :/.

I'm just speaking from the perspective of an outsider who has done research on both teams. I assume you're talking as an ASU fan, but I definitely disagree on them being even. ASU had a very good defense last year but only four guys return so that will likely fall off. The offense returns three for an offense that was 8th in the PAC 10.

Arizona on the other hand returns seven on offense and should improve on their 5th in the PAC-10 scoring numbers. Defensively they will struggle a little, especially at linebacker.

ASU needs their defense to be competitive, and only won 4 games with it last year. The D is gone this year, so it could be worse.

Arizona is easily two scores better in a head to head matchup.

How much attention have you paid to any other team's recruiting other than Alabama's over this same period of time? Everyone else is "re-loading" as well in their own way. If a good recruiting class is all it takes to compensate for losing 7 or 8 starters then why do average recruiting teams win a lot of games, and why do teams with lots of talent lose?

Too many other factors involved to just say you're worthy of a 99 rating or that your defense is going to be the best just because of recruiting.

#10 Iowa - 4* - 89 ovr, 92 off, 89 def

Wow... Hawkeyes have a LOT to prove on offense, and the defense (other than linebacker) is one of the best in the nation.

# 60 BAMAJD @ 06/17/10 05:12 PM
I don't think we should have all 99's. Ive noticed a lot of the new bama users on here are half ********.

I'll give Alabama an 94 or 95 on offense because we have tons of talent & experience on that side of the ball. Defense i'll give us a 94 or 93 we lost some in the secondary but everything else is just reloaded & in some cases better than last year.
