Even though Kane was on it last year, I can't think of anybody better to put on the cover.

With the faceoffs and new checking improvements I guess it made sense to go with a Center. Why not get the top one off of the champs. Besides the game sold like hot cakes with a drunk mullet wearing hooligan that beats up taxi drivers on the front cover. Toews from what I've seen doesn't carry himself like a scumbag off the ice so they shouldn't have that problem this year.

Also note under Overview it says EASHL Dynasties with a all new practice mode and a Banner Raising ceremony if you win a season or something (perhaps custom EASHL arenas?)
Definitely not a bad cover choice, but it is strange that they're going with 2 Blackhawks in a row.
It's so crazy seeing a typical, everyday kid from Winnipeg make it big like this. Makes me proud to be from here lol.

Was expecting Ryan Miller this year, but that just may be the homer in me talking. Oh, well. No use complaining over software packaging.
Interesting that banner raising ceremonies are back. Wonder if they'll be used in Be a GM like in NHL 05-07 last-gen. No other sports game has done anything like that since. It'd be interesting to see something like this again:

well I guess the blackhawks deserve it again. But whatever since the flyers were the suprise of the playoffs. Let's go flyers!!!!!!!!
There are few players I would've picked over Toews to be the cover athlete.

Blaah I wanted Jordan Staal but that was a pipedream.. I thought it'd be Ryan Miller for sure.. they missed a grand oppurtunity to futher promote the game in the US..
If I can remember, Eric Lindros was on NHL99 so at least a Flyer has been on the cover. I don't like another Blackhawk on the cover, it's stupid that they picked a player from the same team again.
