According to the Associated Press, NBA Elite 11 will have a new announcing team that includes Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy and Mike Breen.

"For now, he'll keep enjoying their time together. This is the fourth finals they're calling, and even if it's their last, they'll live on next season as the voices of the NBA ELITE video game."
This is NOT good news. If EA doesn't reel in Mark Jackson's annoyingly over done goofy comments this commentary team in Elite is going to make that aspect of the game hard to take serious. EA needs the game to be taken seriously in order to compete. With things typicality repeating in sports games I for one don't want to here "Momma there goes that man" over and over and over. Or the silly nonsense Jackson and VanGundy ramble on about way to often.
nice about time they have eson crew lets see if they use the lic in the game now.
I think this solidifies having ESPN presentation (I hope I'm not wrong here). Now if they could throw in ABC as well. Either way this is a major coup for the franchise. This will probably be a dual-basketball game year for me. It's time for basketball games to be at the levels they used to be. I think we're on the way there.
I'll only enjoy this if JVG is as random as he is IRL.
Oh... he is. The samples we heard were so off-the-wall it fit the game and their essences perfectly.

As long as they do a good job of keeping the commentary new and fresh it should be great.
They are certainly trying. The only limitation will be time. Ryan Santos is on the ball this year. If you know anything about this guy's attention to detail, then you'd know he's a hoops head who loves the game.
He was getting giddy like the rest of us community day members when we were talking about the possibility. If he can implement the minor change we talked about to the game's presentation it will go a LONG way to keeping Elite fresh throughout the year.
I really made sure he understood the importance of variety and he gets it. I'm hoping gone are the days of the predictable intros that have long been a staple in the Live series. You know what I'm referring to: shot of the stadium, shot of a player, player specific pre-game routine, walking around giving each other five, jump ball... every single game, and in that order. With just the minor change we talked about... it could make a huge difference.
You guys have no idea how much work we put into making sure this game becomes what we all want to see. I wish I had the time to sit there and help develop the presentation routine with him... So many things I'd love to get in that would equal what you see on TV.

You say this now... wait until you hear it.
good to hear pared... It sounds like you really enjoyed yourself there. That is a good sign to me.
it's some serious haters n here!!! but I luv tha move EA, I think these 3 will make the game more exciting. especially wit comments like, JVG- "u still don't think they should implement a 7th foul" MJ- "NO.... wut makes u think I went to the bathroom came back and changed my mind, I'm not JVG." now IMO.... that's classic and one of a kind!!! and from playa to playa.... itz hard to HATE on that!
