I said the same thing. I really thought I was going to get NCAA this year, but man this looks the same ol same ol EA Sports football. I don't care if it's still early, blah blah blah. Madden won't be any better, smh.

As a football fan, I'm beyond frustrated. For the first time ever this year, I could not decide whether to get 2k or NBA Live. To me that was a very good thing. EA just needs some competition to push them, too bad we won't get it. Instead we have to deal with the mess you see in that video.

My thoughts exactly. I'll just leave it at that.

The spin move and the ability to break out of it or something has always been "weird/awkward".

Side note...I like your Tebow cover design a lot better than the real one.

actually its better than i expected, when they said they were using fifa tech i said " o god" and the delight of guys here showed me they didnt play fifa especially on WC

in fifa players would be running at top speed and kick a ball without any leverage for power, stop on a dime etc....

anyway the players having the stutter feet animation is a plus for me because it looks better than the zig zagg trash

once again expectations were too high

Idk, time will tell, but I'm not positive about this game anymore.
Yep the animation is not good(even for a 1st attempt). I animate better than this. These run cycles look okay, but the spins need more keyframes(a lot more).

Pre-hype hysteria

Dev diary - blogs etc

Community proclaims beST GamE eVah!!

Subpar videos released

Community proclaims they are alpha builds, not to panic

Same members get the game early and proclaim beST GamE eVah again...released game is nothing like the videos

Hype resumes full throttle

2000 post thread on "When and where did you get it " thread

Rest of forum gets the game and notices game is exact same as video / demo etc that was reported to be " alpha build " video.

The folks that get the game earlier finally admit that maybe in their excitement they exaggerated about the game being improved.

600 post thread on "Bugs and Glitches thread"

500 post thread on " What should be in patch 1 and 2 thread "

200 post thread started on " Wishlist for 2012"

" Im done with EA and their fooball games and not buying another one" threads pop up and get locked "

Repeat cycle and just change the year.

It never fails, every year this is the pattern. Its as sure as the sun rising every morning.
100% the truth. LMAO! What you see is what you're gonna get. Damn U EA release the license to someone that cares.

Im not as off put as some. Maybe I wasnt expecting as much. I see the improvement in it more from 10 to 11 then 09 to 10 so Im not tripping.

TE #82 for Ohio State can turn on a dime and doesn't have momentum carrying him the other way, must have 98 agility if I'm reading all the EA blogs correctly.

The OS community is so funny sometimes..... The next vid of gameplay (Not beta build) released will have the complete opposite effect. 85% will be right back on. SMH @ everyone going nuts over this with the I TOLD YOU SO COMMENTS. IM OUT until the demo.

Agreed. EA's cover looks kind of low-res and too much going on in the background.

# 91 sinc79 @ 04/19/10 08:33 PM
Reading all these comments, people are either 'dissapointed' or 'see the improvements'. Nobody is saying 'wow' like they were after EA released the blogs about locomotion.

# 92 J-Unit40 @ 04/19/10 08:42 PM
I'm still pretty pumped to play the game, but my excitement was a little softened by that video. There are just some weird movements going on in certain spots.

Crimsontide - that was one of the funniest posts on here in awhile. LOL. Nicely done!

Yes it may be an 'Alpha Build' video, but why do they still look like stiff pupets when they are running? I don't see this being 'tweaked' in 2 months.

# 94 SteelerSpartan @ 04/19/10 08:44 PM
yeah, Im not a complete *****.....the espn stuff still has me interested...I just never should have thought there would be any drastic improvements to player movement/animations

# 95 cowboy_kmoney @ 04/19/10 08:46 PM
Well if they add real time injuries and coaching changes then Ill be sold for this year.

NCAA FOOTBALL 2011 WILL STILL BE A GREAT GAME. THIS IS JUST A BEGINNING STAGE OF THE GAME. THERE'S STILL 3 MONTHS LEFT UNTIL THE GAME IS RELEASED. IT LOOKS GREAT SO FAR TO BE AS EARLY AS IT IS. ONLY THING THEY REALLY NEED 2 DO IS GIVE EVERYONE THEIR RIGHT EQUIPMENT BECAUSE MARK INGRAM DOESN'T WEAR ANKLE SOCKS AND HE ALSO WEARS BLACK SPAT

# 97 sinc79 @ 04/19/10 08:54 PM
Didn't they show us a video where they had real people running in a big building? I didn't see those real people running like robots, did anyone else? Why does the running still look the same? Are they trying to pull the wool over our eyes again? So frustrating!

# 98 PVarck31 @ 04/19/10 08:56 PM
I don't even know what to say. That was absolutely terrible. What exactly did they do with locomotion? Animations were fast, and herky jerky. Everyone turned on a dime. Lots of sliding, magic DB's, stiff and rigid movements abound. The running animations looked horrid as well. This was just a huge letdown.

And before the fanboys hammer me, I realize that this video is most likely from a beta build.

# 99 sinc79 @ 04/19/10 08:59 PM
NHL just called, they picked up some great ideas for their ice skating animations.

# 100 Furq @ 04/19/10 08:59 PM
Disappointed as well. Like a few others pointed out, it's rare that the final product is significantly different than the first few vids that get released.
