MLB 10 News Post

The second patch will be live on Thursday 3-18-10. The fix list is below. Also, this patch was worked after the game had shipped, so we had a chance to address issued reported by consumers. We fixed all we could given the time frame for this patch to go live as soon as possible. While I'm sure it doesn't cover all issues you are experiencing, we are continuously investigating other problems and we will update everyone once we have more concrete information. Regarding problems with leagues, some of these issues can be fixed server side, while others may require a patch. Again, we will keep the community updated on this situation as best as possible. We thank you for your patience and help identifying these issues.

Franchise time!
That clarifies things then.

Cheers Marco.

now i can correctly judge this game by skipping the 1st year and going through end of year franchise options without losing my A prospect players in an automatic trade. LOVING IT, THANX.

It would have been easy of them to just release the game, get money from us and fix the problems next year but instead, they are doing their best to fix all the problems in their game unlike stupid Bethesda. Thanks SCEA for doing your best to fix your mistakes.
While fallout is buggy it isn't unplaybale/enjoyable. I had a few issues but the game was still incredible and nothing was gamebreaking. Alot like The show...

Russell, can you assure us it will be addressed in the future?

Thanks.

I just set up a situation where i got the bases loaded with two outs by striking out the first two hitters and then intentionally walked the next three.

I then managed to get the next hitter to ground to my 1st baseman who took the ball to 1st by himself to FORCE the batter out.

No run was counted in this situation. So it isn't happening everytime like was stated unless this is a different senario in some way.

So for the most part it looks like this is rarely seen. So for those that are worried about it chances are you might not see it happen.

Good question.

how do i get this? obviously log into sports connect on the start of the game, but after that, do i have to do anything or will it download the patch automatically? and after im loggged into SC, do I have to save rosters or anything else to have it go into effect on my ps3 while playing vs the CPU offline?

Appears to be fixed!

you will have to restart the game and upon the restart the patch is asked for download if you are already logged in then you will not be able to download the patch.

Two quick observations:

1. The auto-throwing works for the catcher when a computer controlled baserunner is attempting to steal (existing franchise).

2. I use the Mets...Jason Bay's stance is now correct (existing franchise).

That's a good start, hopefully more to come in the next patch.

Maybe I should keep the ball out of the dirt on ball 4.

Looks good, but do I have to restart my franchise for the changes to go into effect? I assumed yes, but one of the details of the patch dealt with the batting stances for edit with Longoria and Barmes and those are now available within my franchise. So does that mean the patch fixed everything within the franchise and I don't need to start over?

This is pre-patch. Yes, I have only seen it while I'm pitching. I'm usually too impatient at the plate to let the opposing pitcher take me to 4 balls.
