MLB 10 News Post

The second patch will be live on Thursday 3-18-10. The fix list is below. Also, this patch was worked after the game had shipped, so we had a chance to address issued reported by consumers. We fixed all we could given the time frame for this patch to go live as soon as possible. While I'm sure it doesn't cover all issues you are experiencing, we are continuously investigating other problems and we will update everyone once we have more concrete information. Regarding problems with leagues, some of these issues can be fixed server side, while others may require a patch. Again, we will keep the community updated on this situation as best as possible. We thank you for your patience and help identifying these issues.

You are correct. A few years back when Andruw Jones was in Atlanta he was put on Waivers. No one claimed him so he was brought back. All teams do this especially after July 31.

In August, Atlanta usually puts EVERY player on waivers, to see who passes through, just in case they want to make a waiver trade. I think in all actuality, MOST teams do the exact same thing, for the simple reason that someone that passes through trade waivers is able to be traded up until Sept 1st.

Teams typically flood the waiver wire after the trade deadline. They do it to see who they can get through so they have trade flexibility.

EDIT: KTD you beat me too it.

As for me, I'm simply thankful for a committed development team that thrives to make the perfect and most realistic game. Patch or no patch you guys still deserve my standing ovation. The Madden guys were right to look @ y'awl for inspiration.
Amen...what a great job and unexpected surprise. 2 patches in two weeks of release???

You guys answered it, thanks. I was referring to the CPU pulling back it's best players. I am familiar with it in a few cases, but was not aware that they would do it that often.

Is the sounds of the show fix only allowing you to store more songs and that's it? Is nothing else on it fixed?

Computer no longer trading players on users team is good thing but does that mean i can finally start franchise?

Yeah, I'm certainly curious if this is the Tropicana Field issue or if this is something completely different. I have a feeling the Trop's issue might have been discovered too late for this patch.

Based on what is fixed, Franchise ought to be good to go come tomorrow aside from the glitch where every team's lineups are shuffled after Spring Training; not sure if that's something they are going to fixed since it was an issue last year as well. The annoying new part to it is that it shuffles the lineups of user-controlled teams, which gives you a little extra work to do before starting your regular season.

Ugh, awful news.

I have class all day tomorrow and an enormous paper to work on all night. SCEA, you owe me $150,000 in tuition fees.

Great work SCEA, however I'm still concerned about the bug that occurs on a 2 out runner on 3rd situation: that is, on a forced out the run scored will count no matter what.
Russell, can you assure us it will be addressed in the future?

Thanks.

# 72 RedsManRick @ 03/17/10 10:45 PM
Thanks for the quick turnaround on patch #2.

Any chance we can a list of outstanding confirmed issues/bugs that are still being worked on? (e.g. player potentials)

If it was in the bugs and glitches thread we know about and to your question directly yes I saw that one posted a couple of times. If we do a third patch I'm sure we can fix it, however as always can't promise anything.

My profile and global is set at manual but that so i can control my lineup - How do you get CPU to stop shuffling there batting lineup? there have been games where d.pedroia is batting 6th in the lineup or d.wright batting 8th..

# 75 Jamal G. @ 03/17/10 11:08 PM
Will you now be able to trade players in the off-season who were eligible to be added to the playoff roster (i.e., anyone on the 25-man roster prior to September 1st)?

# 76 stratty @ 03/17/10 11:14 PM
Will those of us that bought all three DLC's now be able to connect to Sportsconnect?

# 77 LowerWolf @ 03/17/10 11:28 PM
Wow. That's fast.

Good work SCEA. Much appreciated.

I took the rest of the week off for March Madness, but I think I'll find some time for MLB 10 too.

# 78 LowerWolf @ 03/17/10 11:34 PM
One question: I'm guessing the issue of some players being switched (Jeter at CF; Granderson at SS) will be fixed in the next roster update and not by this patch, correct?

# 79 Sports fanantic @ 03/17/10 11:51 PM
its cool that scea is making a stride on fixing their game early before opening day of the season.

# 80 mattlanta @ 03/17/10 11:59 PM
Yeah ... so will this patch also fix the potential glitch in RTTS? I heard people talkin about there being a glitch in the RTTS which didn't allow them to progress or something.

Also will it fix the potential glitch or issue that is holding Knight back from working on his rosters? Thanks.

And thankyou SCEA!
