I saw the one you are talking about. It's offline and the ball travels way up in the air to get there, I'd hardly call that a rocket arm.
I did notice one bug tho. If you watch the Met's video, when Santana strikes out the second guy up, he does it with a fastball inside. The Pitch Tracker thing shows it up and in the middle of the plate however. Nothing huge, but pretty obvious it was incorrect.
Ok rocket arm might not be the best term. In any event, do you feel that the outfielder throwing the ball from RF wall to 3B on two hops is realistic?

Depending on the outfielder, yes...
When I had an invite to an MLB team tryout, we had outfield drills. They wanted us to get the ball inside a garbage can laying down a hair in front of home plate on the third base line. We had to do this on at least ONE hop deep in RF.
There were some guys there getting the ball to it with no hop and hitting the backstop fence corner with plenty of juice to spare.
Well...I have come to the conclusion that I am not a fan of broadcast cam. I have trouble picking up the baseball.
Loving the way the ball ricochets off the wall. Enjoyed watching the fielder chase the baseball around in the outfield as if he was trying to catch a chicken..lol

I was kinda thinking the same thing about not being able to pick up the ball. I'm still going to play several exhibition games from that view to see how much better it is in real life. Worst comes to worst, maybe I'll just use it when batting.

I love the way broadcast cam looks, but I fear I may have the same problem. I may end up using it when I'm batting, but then switch to classic fielding mode when I'm playing defense. It should be noted that a lot of the people who have played the game say it doesn't take long to adjust, however. We'll see.
I am not trying to start anything here, but I don't see a whole lot different from 09. Obviously the graphic overlays and lighting are improved, but other than that I didn't see much that was entirely different. Now I am not some one that cares too much about stances (as long as it's close) and I really don't care about the color combinations on gloves, shoes, underwear, etc.
The commentary is largely the same, and if they include the "get down, get down, get down!" line I will not be very happy. BUT I do like the Show's commentary better than 2k's for the simple reason that less is better IMO. I find the more complex you make it the more obvious and glaring the repititions are.
I am looking forward to the enhancments they made to both the Franchise mode and RTTS though. I found RTTS a little dry in 09 because I like to be immersed in the game and not just play the one little bit you do. I want to feel my contribution to the outcome.
Anyways I am going to buy it as I do like this product.
They've already talked about this. If they allowed more of the batter's follow thru, then you would have less control over the fielders due to it cutting to the fielding later. I'll take more control over watching a follow thru.
not me. it was fine in 09 and 08. There was no reason to change this. This totally ruins playing from behind the pitcher camera for me. Just like it did in ASB
Seriously, why does everyone look like they're wearing football shoulder pads? Everyone's got bodybuilder lats or something ... and why are everyone's arms so short?
Actually that aspect of the game looks slightly better to me than last years.
What I did to fix it in 09 was go to Audio/Video, and increase the vertical length of the screen display by about 7 or 8 clicks. One of the best things I ever did in the game.
Suddenly all the figures looked more human (taller, more proportional shoulders) and it didn't mess up my hitting at all, in fact it helped my hitting, probably because the ball appears ever so slightly larger this way so I can see it better.
I'm not bothered by the 2-hop throw from the right-center field wall to third base. What bothers me about that is the right fielder CASUALLY throws it like that. He doesn't step into his throw, he just soft tosses it. A 2-hop throw to third base from the right field wall should not be thrown soft toss, I don't care if you're Vlad Guerrero, you gotta get some body weight behind a throw like that.
i mentioned this earlier in the thread but nobody seemed to respond. in the HR derby clip after Tex hits his first hr they show the other players watching. is it just me or do i see number 44 jason bay there wearing an american league uniform?
these vids are good and get me excited but the person playing in these clips can't play very well at all and dunno why he has the rtp disabled and dunno why he dpesnt disable all tips. those keep popping onto the screen so annoying

If you read closely the graphic that popped up was called "Swing Track". I believe the circle on the graphic represented where Guzman was swinging, not where the pitch was located.
I don't see much difference from 09 either. And it doesn't look like they added anything to franchise besides 30 team roster control. I'm going to have to rent this before I buy it.
