I hope you're saying there's a throwing meter option that doesn't affect manual fielding or throwing? Can you or someone confirm this?

Thanks!
They had it last year's game (and I turned it off as well), so that better be an option this year.

You can field manually and not have the meter show up visually. That option exists now!

Unless I'm going crazy that's already there. Turn off the throwing meter. It's an option in the menu's.

The graphic overlay turns off. Didn't matter because it was useless anyway.

Your rigt AND it's actually been there for the last few years. Not just turning off meters, but other things as well that hinder the realistic look of the gameplay. I've been shutting off gameplay aides since 06 the show. It's the first thing I do before even getting in my first game.

\EDIT; Except the fielding marker of course. I always leave that one on...but you can shut it off too.

Yeah, I shut mine off to make fielding harder... after a few ridiculous misplays, you get used to it, and it makes fielding a lot more challenging and interesting. Plus, no giant swirling ball graphic to marr the beautiful graphics.

Stat tracking for batters vs. pitchers in RTTS, I like that (for obvious reasons).

Ok, thank you I feel a little less crazy at work. I hate thinking I know something then not being able to verify because of this damn job.

Would you imagine the new Broadcast camera view will replace the Outfield & Pitcher camera views ??

Broadcast camera is new it didn't replace any other camera view all the old options are still in the game

They need to bring back the fielding shadow for overcast games.. Fielding with that gone was insanely difficult with aids off in '09.

He didn't say any were removed. Again, his facts state there are 17 pitch types and goes on to list them all. However, there were 21 pitch types in 09 so what happened to the other 4? Wouldn't it make more sense to say there are 21 pitch types in the game?

Pasta used the same info from the '09 fact sheet which also listed 17 pitches. My guess is SCEA had 17 pitches slated for 09 but added 4 more before release.

It's old, outdated info being used. It's not an issue anyway, Russell confirmed 17 is incorrect and there will be 21 pitches in MLB 10 - just as there was in '09.

I know someone asked this earlier but from reading the replies from Russell I didn't see it answered.

During online games can we adjust the default pitching camera from catcher to pitcher or outfield view? Please say yes. I never felt immersed in the game when pitching because it just seems so unnatural to pitch from the catcher cam. When pitching from the outfield view it gives you the feeling of really pitching. If it's still default from 09 it looks like I'll be playing single player exhibition and franchise mode again in '10.

Thanks for the fact sheet. Everything looks fantastic. Russ, I look forward to your reply.

Russell please can you answer the question about MLB live updates? Real life or one's franchise bound?

Thanks

Doesn't look like this will be possible.

So does Online League Season = Online Franchise? So we can chain together multiple seasons?

Doubt it...haven't seen anything mentioned about a draft or free agency.
