I can't speak for Myplayer mode or online. But offline this game just became great.

For one, I didn't delete anything. And all seems to be working fine. I've done a few different modes (association, nba today, quick games, practice) and everything seems to be working fine. I set all the sliders and settings back to default for the most part. I used the blazers against the bobcats in an NBA today game (first game I played post-patch) with default everything except shooting fouls at 65 and difficulty at all star.

Tons of contact in the paint. I had tried lead passing just for the heck of it and they got stolen easily. Tyson Chandler was actually a force in the paint and blocked 6 shots which was incredible to see. He also fouled out (the downside of contesting that many shots, which is incredibly realistic) and that's the first time I've had a cpu player foul out against me since nba 2k7. Boris Diaw also had 5 fouls.

The shooting percentages at the end of the game were Blazers 42%, Bobcats 39% on DEFAULT sliders. I wanted to play as if this were my first time and I was just opening it, ya know, to see how it plays "out of the box". And I wasn't disappointed in the least. What an amazing game. I have to up the minutes just because it's no longer so easy to score. LA was my leading scorer with 16 points. But shot only 39% from the field. They doubled B-Roy a lot and he was held to 12 points on 4-11 shooting. The defensive rotations are incredible and really enable and reward a drive and kick game. For the most part the CPU stopped doing the obnoxious drive, start layup animation, and then throw a 26 foot laser accurate pass to someone wide open for a 3. The defense collapses on drives and if you try to force anything it's going to be blocked, stolen, or you'll shoot a very awkward shot.

Given that I was only playing on all star, and given it was against the bobcats. The fact that I only won by 3 points on all star with default sliders tells me that this really is a brand new game. Thank you 2k, thank you.

Can anyone check for me if HUM vs. HUM is recorded properly? Offline, HUM vs. HUM is a pain. -_-

I think there's still some tweaking left. I've only played a single 12 minute quarter on default sliders so it may have been a fluke, but I shot 54% with Boston and gave up 34 points on 84% shooting or so to Cleveland. I felt like my team was actually playing good defense and we were sending guys like Shaq and Varejao to the line when they tried to play down low. Amazingly, only 8 or 10 of those 34 points came from in the paint. Both sides were playing really good defense too, getting into passing lanes and only helping on defense when it was appropriate. Aside from the astronomical shooting percentages, I'm pretty impressed so far in the very early stages. I'll give another update later after trying out some sliders.

I thought the patch was supposed to fix the autosave bug? It's still autosaving my association after every change I make. Is anyone else still experiencing this?

Man...anybody who knows me, knows that I don't hesitate to call a game out if they are releasing bs. Well, this patch really fixed this game offline. Playing vs the cpu on this game now is just...amazing. No more cheapness either. I do have edited sliders, but I left the tendencies at default except for alleyoops, backdoor passes, commit fouls, and put backs.. I was amazed when I saw channing frye standing at the 3pt line waiting for the pass. Playing on superstar btw. Shooting seems to be fixed a bit. I'm timing my jumpers at the apex of my dudes jump(like in 2k9 and all the other 2k games besides 2k10 prepatch), and its going in now. The contact is nice too. A little overdone with the contact around the free throw line, but its still nice to see some damn contact. lol. I also edited the fouls and it plays great.

Are CPU Stars (Lebron, Wade...)of the other team dominating you now? Are they getting the ball and attacking alot more and finishing instead of passing it out at the last second?

Man, I'm loving the My Player mode with 10-minute quarters!

I've been replayin the first game in my Hawks association to get used to everything. All I have to say is Danny Granger is lighting me the hell up!!!!

I've played through it about 4 or so times now just to see how the game feels (I just got it a couple days ago). Every Time Granger has dropped 30-40 points on me.

Game plays a lot better than pre-patch I'll give em that.

My one problem so far is with the increase in loose ball fouls. Now I understand it is one of the most called fouls in the NBA. However, most of those calls are from people battling for rebounds or position. I've had 90% of my loose ball fouls come from someone just straight shoving a guy even when he already had position on him.

Yeah stars play like stars and dominate. I just played against the Hawks and Joe Johnson lit me up for 34 points on 14 of 22 shooting. And Crawford came off the bench in his very underrated 6th man role and did his thing, scoring 22 off the bench. Josh Smith had 5 blocks which was great. Anytime I'd played the Hawks or as the Hawks, I never saw him block more than 1 shot because in this game pre patch all that mattered with shot blocking was height. You'd get 9 blocks with Ilgauskis because he was tall, but 0 with lebron because he actually had to jump. It was strange. Really the game has improved in every aspect. I gave my fiancee a hundred bucks and told her to go shopping for the day so i could play ps3 now that the game is finished.

did this address the ref pass/inbounding delay issues

# 73 rrenn001 @ 11/14/09 02:04 PM
I like the improvements, however the oppsing CPU was called twice for back court violations from the mid inbounds spot in the 4th quarter ultimately swinging the momentumn in my favor...That rule was never broken before was it?

Let's put it this way:

If Wade and LeBron attack like Trevor Ariza did to me, then they will be nearly impossible to stop.

Actually, playing against the Rockets felt like actually playing against the Rockets. It was probably the best game I've ever played in a basketball video game before.

It has, but for some reason even after the patch autosave is stuck for ON in association. Everywhere else is fine. I'm thinking it was an intentional design.

Quick question: anyone using the most current NBA today roster? some guys in other threads talked about the kick out issue is back with it. Just wondering because i've been using the 10-28 roster (i saved a separate file for offline quick game use)

Yeah in my new association, eric gordon dropped 30 on me, even though he missed the gamewinning attempt. Baron davis kept driving to the rim against me, but I was able to shut down his drives for the most part.

Can anyone recommend a good set of post patch sliders? I just tried Playmaker's set, only to have the CPU pass the ball around the perimeter for 22 seconds and then fire a bullet pass to a guy in the post to score. I was still having too much of a problem with points in the paint on the default sliders too. I don't really mind the CPU scoring down there, it just bugs me when they get 3/4ths of their points from either from shots directly under the basket or from free throws from shooting directly under the basket.

Yeah, I'm happy with the patch My old player was lost earlier this week but I've started a new one and am playing summer circuit on 7 minutes. Will bump it up when I get to the NBA though.

Pretty much all I have seen has already been stated in this thread.
