Could be that they have to write a lot more code to get changes into PS3 than in Xbox 360. I've read that 360 is easier for them to program for. Anyways, that's just a guess.
so a 'port' of sorts to the ps3 is over 10x bigger?
That's really not important - it's two entirely different systems which perhaps would mean different approaches in terms of compressing data, how data is read, etc. The patch feature lists were nearly identical, that's the important thing.
Downloading now. Then I'm going to play a quick game. I'm happy the patch is here now. I raining outside and it's a mess, I maybe playing 2k all day....
ok good....I got back before all of the BS nick picks begin...lol
to serious gamers that don't always post like me, here is my impression....(realize that I haven't played all of the features...)
OffLINE is sooooo very beautiful to play now..I can not tell you how very much fun it is to play now.....and I must say that before the patch it to me was still very much fun to play ....post patch though is really making this game shine like it should have out the box....!!!! big men actually feel like big men!!!
The controls are very tight and responsive...(unbelievably so) I can turn when I want and my player will do exactly as I command him to do. you can now get into the passing lane like IRL, and intercept passes, the coaching settings work as they are supposed to, your players will now deny the person if you tell them to , help defense is better somehow too, calling plays is more responsive, the crowd is reacting better so much more alive, graphics look smoother all around, I got an over the back call among a host of other special touches....contact in the paint is so much fun now, I think they may have even spruced up put back dunks.....and is it me or do the crossover moves look improved..because darren williams gave me the business last night...lol......all I can say is that this patch is off the chain for real..........
now as far as online goes..2k needs to get that right..alot of things are not functioning like coaching options and double teams and the frame-rate is just downright horrible..but as long as I got offline right I'm good and Myplayer mode....really guys...people including me complain about alot of stuff 2k does, but let me give them props for all of the heat they are taking and how they are trying to make things right with the game. We should be grateful they even want to get it right...really....we waited along time for this patch and I can say for myself it was worth it after playing last night..wow
last thing I want to say is my game sometimes stalls at the end of the game but if I keep pressing the buttons it seems to kick back in after about a few minutes..you know...like when they are telling who the player of the game is? and for all this nonsense about deleting files to make the game play right..I did not delete a thing and my games play great ...errors aside already mentioned....
To the 2k developers thanks for the fixes but I almost forgot to ask you guys this....who's lame brain idea was it not to include block shots effects (SOUND) I barely can hear it , to me its the most important part of playing and raggin on each other, please fix the sounds
bottomline 2k needs to really fix the online issues...
thanks 2k....peace fellas.
Finally! With this monsoon going on today I think its time to start my Association. I'm thinking of doing a fantasy draft and going after Derrick Rose with my first pick.
Well looks like I'll finally open my copy of NBA 2k10. I haven't opened it due to having so many other games to play and since the patch was announced that it would fix a lot of issues.
