NBA 2K10 News Post

I and a few others were lucky enough to attend the NBA 2K10 launch party here in NYC.

We were given full copies of the game and are willing to answer questions.

The only thing I'm going to tell you guys right now:

NO QUESTIONS ABOUT RATINGS. We already post them in the NBA 2K10 screenshots section.

Ok, let the madness begin.

I'm wondering if that last headline means that when I start my Rockets Association that Yao Ming will start on IR and be injured for the entire 2010 season?

If so, then lottery here I come!
That would be pretty cool if that's the case... Obviously not for you and your fellow Rockets fans but a nice touch!

It would just be nice to go through my Cavs association and see Leon Powe return to fitness at the all-star break and add another nice piece to the team. Like picking up a good role player in FA.

As a Rockets fan, I actually would like it. Just like IRL, I'm gonna just pretend that 2009-2010 doesn't exist and start trying to contend in the 2010-2011 season. I won't "tank" per se, but without Yao and with T-Mac taking a ratings hit I don't expect to contend.

However, in 2010 I'll have a high draft pick (maybe two if I can trade Battier), T-Mac's expiring, a year of training/improving my young core and Yao.

I've been pestering MC and Pared all day but they've been bombarded with requests so I understand but if you could clear this up for me I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks in advance.
This was actually a very interesting question. You can change the player shoes under the rosters then click on the player and click edit.

The cool part is that players who have shoe deals with Nike are locked in to only Brand Nike Shoes. Dwight Howard is locked into Adidas shoes, Kobe with Nike, etc.

They also have Converse, Jordan, and Reeboks.

You can edit DLeague player ratings, and all that good stuff but their names.

Right now, what i do see is that when you enter into your season in Association Mode the game asks you if you would like to customize the Draft Class. You can Auto Generate Rookies, Create/ Edit Draft Class, Load a Draft Class, or Download one from 2k Share.

So you can edit each rookie coming in down to every detail from name, to shoes.

Stop LYING!

I'm not sure what demo you played but that isn't 100% accurate.

Unless of course your saying D.Fisher is a star player now...

And as of right now those same Super stars your refering to didn't take over JACK in the Live demo either.

That's pretty cool. So say I wanted to give Shaq some Jordans instead of those awful generics I can do that?

Are there more shoes in this than in the Draft Combine?

That is cool, but what if a player was to get out of the deal? Like what Wade did this year, jumpin to JB.

Pared, Mo, Steve Barnett

Questions:

1. How cheesable is this game? Potential. Can you see any possible ways the cheese dudes can ruin the random online experience? Any crazy dunks in traffic like last few years? I know a few folks on here said that once their CAP was in the 60s for dunks, they were able to dunk at will. Is this the case now?

2. How are the non steal turnovers? I know they were present in the DC, but I attributed that to bad players trying to make plays.

Did they Bring back the short shorts and long socks for the Legends

# 516 prolyfic @ 09/26/09 12:59 AM
Thanks for all the info.

1. Is the save during a game and come back to it later as cut and dry as that or is their a catch to it...like only at the beginning of a quarter or something.

2. How are CPU subs in the game, is it rotated correctly on all modes or is still based on fatigue. Also at the end of games is the main superstar the one the offense is running thru or is is random.

3. Simple question, how difficult is the AI this year, are teams that shouldn't be that good playing like superstars on the higher difficulty settings.

4. Last question, Do you think slider adjustments will have to be made out the box this year or are default sliders giving the desired results?

Can we edit the PA announcers voices? Like upload our own custom PA voices so it's accurate team-by-team.

Can you post a screenshot of Terrance Williams (T-Will) (Nets) and Earl Clark (Suns) out of Louisville. Curious to see if they have their tats correct. Thx man.
