It would be amazing if the CPU Players would actually perform those same moves that Human player pulled off on the drives to the basket.

The video was nice but all the moves were pulled off by human player. I think the game great potential the only problem I keep seeing is that every thing dynamic is always user controlled.

Unless I missed a video actually showing the AI make moves the same way we saw Kobe or Josh Smith perform them in game by the user. This game would be worth $100 bucks if they somehow managed to get the AI to break me down off the dribble and do half of those moves on their own.

yea i knw but thats whos in live lol,but ur right u could insert anything in there, just make it hav a similar feel to that line, and the atmosphere in the arena, plus lebron's facial expression after the dunk-puffed his cheeks...i specifically wanted to point out that moment bcuz of the electricity of it,n i was picturing that in live.those moments make basketball whats it is,n should b in the game...imo it would take the game to another level.ur right that is kevin harlan tho,but i wouldnt say thats sig tho,i dnt recall him usin that ever b4 or after that 1 play...

Please tell me your not defending the help defense again in this thread?

He made a good point the help defense has been really slow in just about every video I've seen. You keep defending it as if it's perfect or above average.

If I showed the help defense in most of the videos I've seen to a old college or highschool coach he'd go crazy. Now again maybe that isn't a problem on Super Star level but until I see other wise I'm going to say the Helpside defense is sub par plain and simple.

The fact that one of the greatest defensive players in all of basketball (TD) looked slow to react or even attempt to help out is not a good thing at all to me. But I'm sure you'll reply once again that Live has the greatest AI help defense ever created....

I've never seen that 5 on 5 video. Freakin impressive. For the first time I'm not so skeptical about this game. If the reviews are good I just might get this game. The only thing that bugged me was during the Blazers part where the crowd started chanting "Go Blazers, go." I've never heard that at the Rose Garden and it sounded kinda awkward. But that's a cool video!

I'm not disagreeing with you in this situation, but do we know what difficulty this was played on? Because I remember Marcus (or maybe it was Mike) posting saying that these vids are often taken from Starter or Rookie matches with the desire to showcase the feature (shooting and driving the lane in this case), and not so much anything else.

yes just watched it again n he does,u were right,so i guess it is his sig...i guess i didnt notice it bcuz it was a lil drowned out...n the other commentator was paul silas i believe...props,u got me on this 1

# 96 jordankobewade7 @ 09/09/09 03:59 AM
but back to nba live...iwish these types of moments were in live, whether its ahuge timely 3,really explosive dunk like the one we were just talkin about, big defensive play, maybe a nice crossover like the iverson on ty lue where he steps over him,or just a huge run.these r the plays that make the experience n should b in the game under the right circumstances, and with moderation.they should b felt in every way:arena atmosphere, crowd reaction, player/bench reaction, player gestures and/or facial expressions, maybe even a timeout.this would put the game on another level.

Options fellas... hope they're coming!
Let's assume the difficulty is on Rookie for now before start ruling out moves from the game. If that can be done easily on the high difficulty - then it's a BIG problem....

I have a question....if that is the Nets in the last video with Pierce, what arena are they playing in? That looks nothing like the drap, plain, IZOD Center

You can't be serious. That's the entire point. Defending the game until the death, huh?

If that's real life though, Gasol and Bynum would be WAY inside the three-point line. So I don't know.
Exactly.

EXACTLY. TD comes over and at least attempts to go up and defend the other side of the rim... while playing weak side help D.

Good post. We could attribute it to the difficulty... but perhaps we can't as well. It's still up in the air.

The game's graphics make the game look like a real NBA game. Thing I don't like is the blocking. I've already dwelled on this in another thread . It's like they have no clue where to swing .
