Then there is a Cowboys vs eagles demo as well which i think you dont have to preorder to get but dont know if it will be released with the superbowl demo on the 23rd....my guess is maybe a week later.

The countdown is on! With a little over a month left until Madden NFL 10 is available, we know you're dying for a taste. Recently, we delivered some confusing information about our upcoming demos and felt now was a good time to clarify there will be two separate demos both available on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. Madden NFL 10 comes out on August 14th but you can get your hands on the demo starting July 23rd.

your wrong on the 2nd game its not cowboys eagles its cowboys and giants but other then that i total agree with you on so many guys refuse ot preorder madden or like that one guy in one the forum said he wont preorder when he think it cost extra money when it dont cost extra moeny

If you preordered your copy of Madden NFL 10 from GameStop, on July 23 you'll get access to an exclusive demo featuring a Super Bowl XLIII rematch between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals with 5 minute quarters. (Xbox 360/PS3)

A free Madden NFL 10 demo will be released on July 30th, featuring a night game in heavy snow with the Dallas Cowboys at the New York Giants. (Xbox 360/PS3)

I am also hoping next year they will add more cut scenes at the line of scrimmage besides the QB walk up to the line. I'd like to see close ups on recievers as they are running to their spots to line up with the db , also maybe pointing downfield. Also a cutscene from the running backs view in the backfield of approuching the line of scrimmage. It seems all the football games ONLY show the cutscene of the QB walking to the line. Show random approuches from other positions next year

Presentation looks pretty good but Ian you guys need to do something about the commentary. I liked that little superbowl video you put out till Hammond opened his mouth that just took the air right out of the balloon. (still better than the tin can radio guy though).

I have an idea to make hammond sound good without changing anything how about the radio guy commentate 1:00 and 4:15 games and hammond and collinsworth do the primetime stuff like thursday night football, monday night, and sunday night, and of course superbowl and the radio guy do the pro bowl.

That would work alot easier I think since they already have the radio guy shouldnt just discard him him was pretty crunk if you actually listen to him.

Or just find some cheap actors for regular games and hammond and collinsworth for big games (ex. games of the week, night games, and super bowl) that way the back track feature would only be used in big games that would make it cooler.

What you guys think?

great touches to the game!
This game looks like it's gonna be a complete beast! I love how you guys have finally started adding in the small details that add up to make for a much better presentation. I love what I've seen thus far and I haven't bought a madden game for like 12 years (always get NCAA) but this year it looks like I'll be getting both. I just hope when Madden comes out it won't destroy my joy of playing NCAA. With all the details Madden has and even refs I'll start playing NCAA and be like, oh I miss such and such from Madden.

What's interesting to note is that all of that was in Madden 06 and Madden 07. It just got repetitive because they never used different angles. It would be the same scene with the same angle every time.

One good thing I've noticed though, is that at least this time around they listened and switched the angles up so it's not the exact same angle 100 times a game like 06 and 07 had.

Yea they used more of a camera cut this year instead of a cutscene. They need a better qb walk up animation though.

Madden 06 did have this but the angles really sucked and it was soooo repetitive. Once again EA needs to just copy and improve on what APF has.

Well... I haven't seen them in Madden so it's a good addition but I know having the correct towel on a player is more important.

Good point, this was great in NFL2K5 when they showed a LB or DB getting into position before a play. Now that I think about it, im shocked Ian did add this into Madden10.

THANK YOU EA!!!!! I have been shouting for the past several years that Madden has always had great game play, but I wanted to see an emphasis on presentation. I am sure that my voice was just one in the crowd and I am glad that EA has heard us!!! I hope I can finally retire my NFL 2K5!!!!!!!!!!

I remember using the broadcast view on Madden 97 (first Madden I played on PS1). It was very hard, but it looked great.

WOW! I'm so pumped for this game, like no other.

# 138 hayvis @ 07/14/09 05:53 AM
So they go on about how it looks like a TV broadcast and they don't include a broadcast or press box camera angle option for in game??? Very, very stupid. I'm buying this year, but man this just makes me angry.

Yay. I feel good.
Ian, I have a question for you and would love for you to answer this and give a reason why, and also if this is something you can finally get in the game...

For years the EA tagline has been 'If it's in the game, it's in the game.' Yet, never, in any Madden, has the Shovel Pass been 'in the game.' It's in the NFL, it's in college, yet it's not in Madden. Why? This is such a simple play. You could actually implement two versions... one with the QB under center, dropping back, the RB appears to set up to block, then releases and the QB shovels the ball to him. The other could be in Shot-Gun.

If you need highlights of this play, watch old Denver Broncos games with Elway, Raider games with Gannon, Pats games with Brady, Hawaii games with Brennan... Hawaii, under June Jones, had a few variations of the shovel pass.

If, by some miracle, this play is in '10 then I applaud you for finally seeing this play implemented. If it's not, which is probably the case, can you explain why? And, more importantly, can you please see that this play gets included next year?
