Great video but these things were in NFL 2k5... Its a shame that an exclusive NFL next gen title is just now getting chain gangs and other representaions of real life football.

I must admit that this video as piqued my interest about Madden a little bit. Presentation to me is always the most important aspect of a video game.

Stop crying...if you want football, watch/play a football....its a video game...and its gonna be great. Play it or not. Only so much can be done in a year...most games dont get this much improvement with long development cycles...grow up.

If they can patch it in, they will, if not, you wait until next year. Has nothing to do with blowing smoke anywhere.
Why does it have to be, "give me the feature that I want or you don't care about your customers?" When did we get so vain that if the game doesn't cater to each individual of the close to 1 million people who buy the game then it's considered a loss?
C'mon people, you're better than that. There are plenty of guys who want something in the game. Your request/wish/hope is no more important than someone elses.
Someone at EA finally gets it. Maybe they will give Sony's MLB series a run for its money as top sports game soon.
The video is looking good, and I'm glad they're really addressing the presentation. It's an aspect of the game, and every EA game, that has always been neglected and/or overlooked. I'm not going to judge just yet based on one video showing some highlights. I'll wait and see how they're actually implemented.
2K set the bar pretty high. I doubt Madden is up to that level in just one year, but hopefully in another year or two they can really step their game up. Madden '09 was just garbage.

All you had to was watch a few TV broadcasts to find out how to integrate the presentation. It involves very little thinking in terms of "what do we need to show here?" That sort of thing is already laid out for you.
Anyway, hopefully Madden here is finally getting it. Nice video--the game looks really good. Hopefully it plays that way.

Good looking video. I just hope that the halftime/post-game shows are improved...if so, this game is going to pull both former disappointed Madden fans and 2K5 die-hards in alike.

My opinion, Yeah This presentation is very impressive for the madden series as it has always lacked. No I do not think it is on MLB the shows' level. Although the presentation has added a lot of lasting appeal, We as the gamer can't keep over-praising Madden. They got presentation with big improvements now it is solid. Lets see this done with the gameplay. I pick every little thing out, so close that I discovered there are over 20+ glitches or mishaps on any punt play only counting from snap - to kick - NO return lol (Madden 09) but lets see some major strides in gameplay. I know about all the improvements and I look forward to see which ones really made the cut and which ones just were word of mouf and half implemented because of a programming issue or w.e. All in all , the presentation is a big improvement, could be better but I am patiently waiting for Aug. 14th. Don't take this the wrong way, we overreact about presentation or other "gimmick features" like in the past and it always haunts us, just appreaciate it, and strive for more improvement in other areas , thats my take. I am not saying any is overreacting in here either -just a friendly reminder lol

I'm looking forward to playing Madden 10. As a diehard fan of the 2K series, I am glad they've stopped bashing 2K and really have taken the best aspects of what made the game so great to so many of us!

I think this issue with broadcast cam needs to be dealt with. The very least they could do is just activate it for cpu and coach mode games. I am not a programmer by any means, but I don't understand how "bugs" could affect this camera angle in a cpu controlled game. After all, the replay system has the broadcast angle.
The new presentation in Madden this year is such a welcome sight!! I can see that they are surely giving maximum effort. For so many years a lot of us have pushed for this. Madden is on the right track now. We broadcast cam fans are simply trying to push them to the finish line. That's all.

Actually I do play from that angle on occasion, so don't assume.
The comment is a microcosm of what is wrong with most of the comments by guys in this forum. They can't get to EVERYTHING this year. If this is one of the things left out, posting about it in any thread that has to do with people mentioning presentation isn't going to do anything but annoy those who actually like the improvements that are obvious in these videos.
Add the fact that he has plenty of posts in the Broadcast camera angle fans unite thread... and it's obvious where this is going.
If you want to talk about the broadcast cam, there is a thread for it. Stop derailing the thread.

This year's game looks as though its been developed on completely different console hardware vs past installments.
Pared - Keep reiterating what you said about EA not being able to get to everything this year. I just don't get the whining up here when it is beyond obvious the extreme amount of work to cover multiple bases in this year's Madden. The problem is that this nation is raising too many spoiled males, bottomline. They want everything and are used to getting it in their households and it spreads to every aspect of their lives. They don't know how to appreciate much outside of getting what they want and even then, there is a complaint about something about that, too!
As for the broadcast cam thing, yea, blog it, folks. I only liked broadcast cams for watching a game where I choose the teams and just wanna kick back. Side to side football went out with Tecmo Superbowl, for me.

And Pared, I believe this thread is about presentation is it not? I have to consider camera's a far more important aspect of presentation than say a cut seen of fans, or a coach. What has been frustrating gamers such as myself who play in the broadcast style, is that for 4 years now we have been patiently waiting. We have gone to "Our" specific threads. We have heard over and over again...the "Guess we have to look forward to it next year" line far too many time. We even had Ian himself state last year...this was possibly a patch for last years game. No dice.
I think we are all impressed with the improvements, but to say its an annoyance for people who are happy with the presentation of the game to hear what even a very small minority of folks who pay just as much as the next person who buys this game ask / share there thoughts on what we need in a product for either a purchase or our enjoyment is just as counterproductive as what you garner an annoyance. Do not mean to harp, but this is a big thing for those of the like mind...in fact the biggest. Its painful to see all this development finally and have in the back of the mind, have to hope for next year.
This video is all about the presentation. Like all products, this will be analyzed and criticized. The camera's are the heart of presentation, specifically gameplay presentation. If I am wrong on that aspect of things...then back to our cave we will go. But you have to see the irony in this video...for those that are dying for a broadcast cam...this video is beyond words.
And as Sil from the Soprano's said..."Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in!"
