Madden NFL 10 GameStop Pre-Order Demo Codes Available July 15th (Destructoid)

	"GameStop has just announced that pre-ordering Madden NFL 10 for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 will net its customers an exclusive demo of the title. The demo will features four five-minute quarters, with the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers as the playable teams. Codes for the pre-order demo will hit stores by July 15, and the demo is slated to go live by the end of July."

GS is such a joke, those people really are "special".

The only thing they are good at is trying to force you to pre order everything and buy strategy guides. It takes like ten "No's" just to get to the point where you buy what you want.

So i plan on going to GS today and sell like 10 ps3 games i dont play anymore.

So I figured while i'm in there ill save time and just pre order madden.

So will i still get the exclusive GS demo on the 23rd or whenever it comes out?

Granted it's not even noon yet (eastern time), the situation looks bleak as far as getting the codes today. To me, it didn't matter that much as the demo wasn't available til next week anyway. It wouldn't have done much good to have a code just marinating for a week. Still, all of the conflicting information is a little discouraging. I think Phil foreshadowed this upcoming confusion:

I'm mad the demo comes out so late ... Waiting on Madden and not buying NCAA is pretty painful .

So still no word on the release of the codes... and some gamestops are saying they get the codes on July 23... and others are saying July 29... and EA is saying the codes will be emailed or instore on July 15 ...

Why is this no surprise?

So I just called customer care for GameStop and it's funny how little info they know. I asked them about the whole code issue and they said "they should be sent out really soon" and I asked for a date they said they don't know. I asked them when the demo releases and again they said they didn't know. I'm guessing anyone getting a code for the demo today is highly unlikely.

My GameStop guy said that the demo will be on a disc that I need to pick up, and he doesn't know when they will arrive.

Man, they don't have a clue, do they?

Only just heard about the reduced 1 minute public demo.

What an absolute joke. I'm being shafted as I don't want to pre-order through Gamestop.

I hope that when it comes out you don't have to keep returning to the consoles' main menu to run the demo again. That will be truly galling.

EA marketing really is 'precious'

i just called the store i pre-ordered from and the guy goes, madden demo? no i haven't seen it. I go, your store said they would be emailed on the 15th and he says, oh well that's a different story but i have no idea about that and i haven't seen anything in the store yet i think it's next week i would check then. so worthless! for the record, here's the one i have to deal with:

I stopped by my local Gamestop yesterday to pick up Fight Night Round 4. I had reserved Madden a few weeks ago and asked if they had gotten the code cards yet, and she said that they were expecting to get them around the 27th/28th.

When I went to pick up NCAA yesterday, I asked the guy about the Madden demo and he said he is not sure when he will get the codes. He told me they are a first come, first serve item, so I should call them to see if they got them or not. He couldn't give me a date or anything.

The demo will be ready to download on the 23rd! Why would the codes comes out the 27/28th? The Senior producer of Madden mentioned yesterday in an earlier post that he was going to check and see if he could find something out. Apparently, no one knows diddly!

Just called Gamestop, my advice would be to call them yourselves as well.

The guy I talked to said they have not received them yet but to call back Monday-Friday from 11am-12pm because that is when they get there new shipments in.

Basically Gamestop has no idea when they will be receiving the special codes..and my store WILL NOT email you the code. You have to come in and get it.

I called a couple locations in NH and neither knew when they'd get the demo codes. He did say that it would be something I'd have to come into the store to pick up though, no email.

It's amazing that this promotion has been advertised to death, and it's something I want to take advantage of, yet nobody on earth has a single clue as to how it will work... yikes!
