NCAA Football 10 News Post

Hey guys... so we are aware of the issue with no (or few) freshmen on some teams in TeamBuilder and yes the same issues are found on the NCAA 10 disc. Over the past few days, one of our top priorities has been investigating solutions.

The TeamBuilder teams require some data on the disc to set Depth Charts for every team created before they can be used in a game. For example if you use the Cupcake roster as a starting point, NCAA 10 will give you a default Depth Chart for the Cupcakes for your TeamBuilder team (which you can edit in game). This means any changes we make could cause some problems with teams already created using TeamBuilder. So we need to ensure we are taking to proper steps to correct the issues.

We understand the concerns with how this can affect Dynasty mode and Online Games, so we are working hard to have a solution in place before launch on July 14th.

now these rosters from TeamBuilder were the game's actual rosters and they are screwed. When has EA screwed up rosters like this? Leaving people off(freshman, sophomores and juniors) and leaving seniors from last year in. And you still tell me Keller's lawsuit has nothing to do with this HUGE blunder? Open your eyes my friend.
I doesn't have anything to do with it because some teams are updated. If this problem did have anything to do with Keller everything would be generic.

Whatever the cost, get the right rosters on the disk, please

Worst case scenario, get what would have been the default rosters out there on the locker IMMEDIATELY and get a message on the ticker explaining the situation to people who might not know about the issue.

that was my first thought two

Going on EA's track record is a technical blunder out of the question?

It could be an effort to stave off future lawsuits or narrow a possible class, but otherwise, this only helps Keller. EA has "screwed" up the rosters by not making them exactly like the real life ones. They are now attempting to "fix" that "blunder," ostensibly so they will keep their customers happy and make more money.

Feeds right into his argument. If it's not intentional, I'm sure EA Legal is thrilled with this development.

I am troubled that he only mentioned the 'freshman issue' but he may have done that because it is a tricky subject.

There are guys on EACH team that GRADUATED. What year is this, 1998? How can this happen.

They were too busy getting SS points for their college...?

I'm just saying it is GREATLY possible that the Keller lawsuit has some reason of this happening. Maybe I'm wrong Vikingfan, but I just got this feeling that this is the real cause of it. I honestly smell a rat. But after looking at some rosters being actually acurate,it kind of kills my theory. But EA could have done this purposely, I wouldn't put it past them at all.

They willingly hurt their sales and looked like fools?

Oh well, no NCAA for me this year! First time since...before they had actual school names. Notre Dame was South Bend back then! What was that 1990?

# 136 aimiami @ 06/10/09 09:57 PM
ok on the template for rosters they arent wrong so i dont see whats wrong

So it sounds like this caught the NCAA developers by surprise
This is what gets me. How do you a sloppy roster database slip through. They should have people checking this **** after the roster guy is done. We got a stadium edit thread to make sure all the stadiums have every little knick knack but when it comes to rosters and players they say **** it?

# 138 sfc415 @ 06/10/09 09:59 PM
Getting rid of that teambuilder would be the smart thing but it won't happen because that the new big feature

I was speaking figuratively, not literally.

I know they are saying the final rosters for some reason did not make the game but as I said "how can this happen."

jeez

# 140 MSchneider84 @ 06/10/09 10:03 PM
Honestly, they could completely scrap Team Builder as long as the rosters are right.
