Aaron Rodgers doesn't get Player of the Week... Player of the Week gets the privilege of being named to Aaron Rodgers.

You gotta love the brand new presentation in franchise, plus the fact that progression and the like will be shored up.

However, the lack of video highlights is an undeniable disappointment. To me, these types of things are what make a game truly immersive. The other games in the league aren't just random computer simulations, with the output simply being some numbers and data; it's almost like seeing video highlights makes them more real. It certainly does for me.

All in all, it's cool, definitely some great upgrades, but the lack of highlights will leave a lot of us wondering what could have been.

I admit it, I wanted a highlight show as well, but at this point, after all these months, I find it really difficult to whine about anything regarding the dev team and the prospects of Madden 10. BTW, it's not going to be perfect. There's no such thing.

Madden has been a stale boring game for AT LEAST 8 years. I've bought the game on release day every one of those 8 years and returned all of them within 3 weeks or so.

Ian, Phil, and Josh have made major changes(with our help!)ALL in a year's time and now have a framework in place to move the franchise to the next level. They are giving us what WE have been asking for for a looonnnngggg time! Did you expect to get it all in one year?

Pumped about Madden. I don't think I've ever said that.

I'd personally rather have cut in highlights during my game then weekly highlights. I'd like to be playing then have the announcers throw it to the studio and get and update on a score in another game.

It's way more immersive in terms of franchise play then weekly highlights. I hate not knowing the final scores of other games going on at the supposed same time as mine.

There's a restriction on a single DLC size. There could be several DLC packages that equal 1GB, just not a single DLC package that's what I meant. Either way, I don't see Madden releasing a DLC to add video highlights to the show. It's probably more trouble than it's worth for this year. Never know though.

I agree, but I feel like the highlight show would have put this game over-the-top...

That's ridiculous, who is to say why someone isn't impressed by what they have seen so far. This new thing of calling someone a ***** because they don't like what you like is juvenile. I for one have liked what I have seen but I will rent it first. Still, I can understand that others may not be impressed.

I really hope not. Fifa's Ultimate team and NCAA tourney partial game showed that there are ways to really make DLC worthwhile. And not to mention all of the FPS map packs. Madden team really needs to find compelling DLC content. Your LOL is right on point!

Yeah, hopefully they shift in that direction. I'm more than willing to pay for DLC if they make it worth buying.

I would love if they put in some kind of a tracker for things like hype on a player level and team level. Teams like New York (or players on those teams) would always receive a lot of national attention, but teams like the Jaguars would have to do something extraordinary to really get much press. Not gonna happen though. At least not this year.
Yea I am sure they did adjust it. Hopefully it will work better this year. We will have to wait and see. But still happy.

That's what a few years of mediocrity will do to you...
