Madden NFL 10 Screenshots: Sneak Peek at the Jags Uniform/Helmet

Just played a full 10 minute quarter game at home on my big screen - Titans (me) vs. Steelers. I won 31-27, Roethlisberger picked me apart (including a deep bomb to Sweed that caught me in man coverage) but I came back with Smash and Dash and scored on the final drive. I saw so many great things (along with a ton of issues that I've got to get fixed asap as well

), but the game overall just put me in a good mood, so I thought I'd share something new and cool.

This hasn't even gone live on our site yet, but I thought I'd give my fellow OS brethren a first look at the Jaguars new uniform and helmet before we post it live tomorrow:

I think someone needs to give screenshots of EVERY TEAM to a select few people here so that all the mistakes can get fixed NOW instead of us seeing new ones every few days.

First we had all the various issues with the draft day shots... now we have Titans helmets and Jaguars jersey issues. It's rather annoying to me.

Yea the Giants helmets are metallic Royal blue, and they are nice, but the rest of the uniform is pretty blah!!!! lol

I like what they jags did , just wished they didnt get rid of the all Black unies.

All black looks serious on the Field.

I'm just amazed that there are jersey issues every year. Uniform accuracies are very important in a game especially if the game costs $65. We should have correct uniforms every year, instead we have either strips wrong, pants wrong, fonts wrong, logos wrong, and it's just being lazy. It's impossible to get uniforms wrong especially if the teams been wearing the same ones for several years. It's just a sign of laziness. They have all the resources to get the uniforms right, yet they don't.

The uniforms look great! However, is it just me or does the reflection color in the helmet look more like a Dolphins, Eagles, or Jets green and less like the Jags teal? Here's a Jags camp photo with the new helmet:

Perhaps the light's reflection produces a varied response?

Haha wow you can tell I've been studying for awhile. What I was trying to say was maybe the reflection is different in the sunlight as opposed to artificial night lighting..

Could that be right? Maybe? I kind of just made it up but I thought it sounded pretty good.

Man, I think alot of people missed this. Ian did a small hidden info with what he wrote. He said that Roethlisberger hit Sweed on a deep pass against him. Finally, ive never had that happen to me in 09.

I agree. I would gladly give them more feedback then they ever wanted to hear on the 49ers unis. Hell, send me the maps and Ill do it for them...no charge...lol. If they release what was shown on the draft day screens, ill probably puke.

If you look at that actual picture vs the madden one, you will also see the facemask is the same color and also has color change in it, it would be nice to see that reflected in madden

In summation:
Number fonts incorrect
Nameplate font incorrect
Green sheen should be more teal if possible
Facemask should be the same color changing black as helmet

I'm glad MJD doesn't look so small this year. He was waaayyy to skinny in the past years game.

I doubt that's the case. In less lighting(since the image is darker) the helmet should get darker and not change the shade of the color to something greener and it wouldn't have that profound of a difference in artificial lighting either. I mean, it's only one color underneath the black so that color would have as much variance in its shade as any other solid helmet color would...which would be pretty much no variance.

Well, they had that part right last year... so hopefully they didn't re-add them.

Unless of course they did it to be included in the mix-n-match options, in which case it's cool. They were worn once, so it's sorta like a throwback.

In an ideal world, they'd be included but not as any of the default uniforms, along with the orange pants and both the brown-orange-brown striped and orange-brown-orange striped white pants.

Ah, that's right! I forgot that the facemask also has the reflective paint. Hopefully they can get that in there.

LoL one more to point out there, the logo on the backplate of the helmet is wrong, its not perfectly seen here but you can tell it is incorrect from the madden picture.

Am I blind? I don't see colors in those cleats..... They look like the same ol' ones.
