PS3 Only

On behalf of the entire MLB The Show development team we would like to take this time to first thank everyone for playing MLB 09 and being so patient with us as we work through some of the issues the community has experienced. We are very aware of these problems and we would like to announce that we are indeed working on a patch to fix the most glaring offline and online bugs and glitches you have encountered in this years game. When the patch is ready for deployment we will give an update with the contents of the patch. In meantime, we have found a work around for one of the most glaring bugs, the Road to the Show crash. If you skip all training sessions (batting and base running) during the month of September you should be fine. We know this is not ideal, however until the patch is ready for public release this will allow you to continue playing your RTTS save files (if the save file is before entering a training session). We take these issues and concerns very seriously and we do apologize for the inconvenience. Once again, thank you for your time and your patience. We will update the community as soon as the patch release date is set.

No one but SCEA knows for sure. With some patches you don't have to , with some you do (on other games).

Runner on 2nd, ground ball between 3rd baseman and Shortstop. Runner automatically retreats to 2nd base.. Fix this please!! by the time u press any button to advance, he doesnt turn around till hes almost at 2nd base, then his momentum has to shift, if u advance him to third he gets thrown out.

In both instances, i tried to advance after he retreated to 2nd base, and then realized i was better off retreating him cuz hes dead meat at 3rd. In both instances, less than 2 outs, next guy comes up and hits a flyball that would have been a sac fly, tying the game. Instead its an out, with no run scored. PISSES ME OFF. The runner should be freezing on this.
I've had that problem in the past, but not this year. The minute I see that hit, I hold down the R1 button. Just had that scenario tonight. I don't know, maybe I have lucked out this year.

Same here.
Also a side note:
Cool thing that happened. I did the "Major League"
play a while back. Fast man on 2nd with 1 out. I stole 3rd and bunted. The 3rd baseman ran in and threw to 1st all the while I never stopped the runner and he rounded 3rd and scored on a very close play at the plate...

Seriously???
I did not know that was a "Glitch" error or whatever...
It was a very close play at the plate with a fast runner so I don't see how anyone could do it with anybody...
Either way guess I won't do that anymore... lol

im going saturday when the mets come down. ill post some pics.
it will be lucky to have 30k in the crowd.

theres a reason the new marlins ballpark opening for 2012, will have a CAPACITY of 35k.

joe robbie looks empty most of the time as the upper deck is solid orange. they should tarp it in black or something.

i wonder how many people went to the game on tuesday...lol
http://mlb.mlb.com/news/boxscore.jsp...asmlb_flomlb_1

11k on tuesday

wait until the piurates come down or when the marlins slump. itll be 5k fans there. its pathetic.
AND when it starts getting humid and a 90% chance of rain every night and its 90 degrees = NOBODY GOES.

id melt out there,. thank god the mets always come down the 1st 2 weeks of the season every year (last year was opening day)
I never understood the decision to put a franchise in Miami. I mean, 130% humidity in August....feels like it's 1000 degrees, plus, like you said, 90% chance of thunderstorms everyday in August. On top of all this, most people that live down there are in to the Dolphins. I'm really surprised that they are pouring money into a new stadium.

Man I hope not but then again I'm not too current on the newer terminology...

They need a stadium in the worst way, they might actually get fans with the new stadium.

I don't think it's because of the Dolphins. After all, they have had playoff games blacked out on TV because they couldn't sell enough tickets.

To me, the issue with baseball in Florida is that so much of the population consists of retired folks and families of retired folks from elsewhere in the country. A lot of baseball fans in Florida either grew up rooting for other teams or have parents or grandparents who have brought their allegiances with them. The only time they want to go see a game is when their team is visiting the Rays or Marlins. It was a little better in St. Petersburg last year because the Rays were a first place team, but that's how good they have to be just to draw average crowds. Not to mention that 16 teams have spring training homes in Florida.

Easy killer...LOL!! Its no knock on Miami as a city, but IMO, it was silly to put a team there. Yea....I dont think when Bud gave them the nod that he said, "hell yea....put them in Miami....it, after all, is one of the best cities in the World.

The Marlins are always in the top 10 of TV viewership amongst MLB teams, so there are fans, they just don't want to go to a terrible stadium to see them play
I hope what you say is true because I've always enjoyed watching them play. For the most part, they've always nice young players who are fun to watch. Matter of fact, I played a season with them last year, all 162 games.

The only way I see people coming to their games on a consistent basis is if they put one of the retractable roofs on their new stadium. Seems like I heard somewhere that they are NOT going to. Seeks like a big mistake to me. We'll see, I guess.

Sky, I was more teasing than anything. Your record speaks for itself. I kind of figured that you didn't realize it was cheese.

The problem is the delay in animation after the putout at first base. Dude is in the middle of that "Oh yeah, we got the easy put out sucka" mode when, by the time he realizes there's a man bearing down on home plate, he struggles to dig the ball out of his glove, set, and throw.

Heck, even Big Papi could score on this one

Yep.. glad I only did it once lol!
Sorry if my "tone" was a tad off. I hate cheesers and get pretty defensive about it...
It's all good....

I'm finally starting my RTTS's (SP and CF) and can't wait to get into it deep. I'm a SP for the Angels and CF for the Mariners...

I really hope this patch will allow us to use Knights rosters without the stat glitch....

Well...if they somehow let Ninjoids work around to work again(don't know what they did different when it stopped)...that would be the way....because I didn't realize it was there when I was working and the roster is saved with the glitch(in other words...it's in there..not happening when you guys load it)

If that works again at some point...I'll fix it....save it and make sure it doesn't happen again!

I believe SCEA have been able to replicate the problems with roster loading and it affecting the stat glitch - so hopefully that makes it into the patch. How it affects previously created rosters I don't know - guess we'll have to wait and see.
