ESPN has posted an article entitled, MLB 09 The Show: Five Things You Need to Know, claiming it's the best baseball game ever.

Quote:
"MLB 09: The Show is the best baseball game I've ever played, period. And I've played them all. As a kid, I used to stack tokens on the RBI Baseball machine to steal bases non-stop as Vince Coleman. I actually went in and edited all the teams and players in Baseball Stars so I could play with the most current lineups. And I used to drive my friends crazy with Sports Talk Baseball because I'd abuse them with the Ruthian Mike Stanton, that's right, Mike Stanton, because the Braves pitcher batted 3-6 back in 1991, so the game made him an unstoppable .500 hitter."

Allow me to brag a little bit on this supremely talented development team. Also this is from the same person that stated SCEA should give up making baseball games in 2004.

Let me clear my throat............................................ .......................

BOOOOOOOOOYAAAAAAAAAAA

Wow, that's all I can say. I'm really going back and forth with my decision on which baseball game to get next week and each bit of info from each franchise just makes this decision even harder.

Only 65 people working on the game!? For all the stuff that goes in to this baseball game each year. They should let you have 165 people working on The Show. Congrats SCEA.

my thoughts exactly, mlb 09 the show will be the most complete and best sports game since NFL 2k5, this is the first sports game since NFL 2k5 where you can see just how much effort the development team has put in to get every single thing right, and add all the details necessary. Thanks SCEA!

First, congrats to Brian for his new family addition! Also, A big Thank You to the SCEA team for the heart and soul effort with the Show! AND another big thanks to Ramone for strengthening the link from developer to community, vey much appreciated.

Its been tough ever since we left SD not being able to play the game, the wait is almost over!

Okay back to the article!

I did not know there were a total of 16 umpire personalities in the game. That is 16 different strike zones boys!

I cant add to whats already been said.

For me this looks like the GOAT in terms of Baseball and maybe even sports gaming as a whole.

All the devs deserve a good break, even you Ramone () so get your feet up and rest while we ravenous animals enjoy the game.

Great read. Truly awesome work the SCEA boys put in. I don't think I could possibly be mroe ready for a game to come out. I'm to the point where I can't enjoy the other games I have (which would usually hold me over...lol) because I'm obssessed with this game right now.

MARCH 3RD...COME QUICKLY
