MLB 09 The Show Demo Out Tomorrow

	"I have received confirmation from SCEA that the PS3 demo for MLB 09 The Show is expected to be out tomorrow February 5th. Generally PSN updates at around 3pm PT. The demo is four innings long and features a rematch of the World Series with the Tampa Bay Rays at the Philadelphia Phillies. As mentioned in my community preview write-ups the demo is based on a month old build but it should be a fair representation of what to expect with the final product."

Fantastic news!!! I'm also glad to hear that the demo will be Tampa @ Phi., this way we don't have to spend an entire month looking at that butt ugly tuna can that the Rays call a ballpark. Sorry, but I've been there and it feels more like you're there to see a Hi-Li match than a baseball game. Can't wait 'til tomorrow!!!

thats what I was thinking, hopefully this means it comes with updated rosters. Though it will be weird to see Pat the Bat in another uniform

I did not DL '08 because I did not have a PS3 at the time.

Playing it in a store demo, got me to purchase the PS3 and '08 that day.

Excited for this demo.

If it's released as normal as Pacific time that'll be between 10-11pm UK time...and with my paltry 512k broadband, depending upon the size of the file I suspect it will be at least an all night download for me...such dedication!!

WOW the PSN is going to get a work out on Thursday with The Show and Killzone 2 demos for those that preordered.

Sadly i work nights and won't be able to download either demo untill Friday morning.

I've been off for over a month due to a teachers strike but the days wont be so long anymore!

Yep, that's the quickest connection I can get where we live at - BT say we're too far from the exchange to get any quicker...so if it's about 1Gb in size it'll be around 6 hours or so. Just need to wait up and set it away overnight and hope that the connection doesn't bomb out...otherwise I'll have to wait until I get home on Friday night to complete...as Roy Castle used to say though, dedication is all you need...lol

Its actually the York University one.

I just transferred there for the Winter semester, so my start date has been pushed back until March. It's been an annoying process to say the least.

That sounds a bit long, but might be about right if you download around release (traffic of all the happy gamers on at once...lol).

Are you connected directly (through an ethernet connection) or wireless? Wireless can be very slow (I always have a spare cable in waiting for bigger downloads, as I'm connected wirelessly).

Finally, it also depends on your location and provider (not saying you're not aware...just throwing it out there as well

). I had to switch to Time Warner and my internet life has been slower ever since...lol (In San Antonio...not sure about other locations).
