although 2k is really lacking in info at this point, i think these screen shots are a step in a positive direction (but look what happened last year)

at least lincecum looks very very realistic, but then again... so do most of the cover athletes lol

we'll see what happens i guess

Actually Jose Reyes to me just looked awful on the game, more like a little mouse or some sort. Then again every one looked bad last year

Definitely true. And if my comments were the ones that implied "homerism", then I apologize (only used my brief comment to illustrate a point...but I digress).

As for being "gun-shy" I agree, it's hard not to be skeptical. That said, much of the negativity is a bit over the top. It's a couple early screenshots and now some features. None of it should be cause for complaint (or immense joy either, for that matter...lol...I recognize that). I guess it's just a product of how many feel about 2K8.

I'm honestly hoping 2K pulls it out. As I said earlier, I'm 100% sure I'll be buying The Show, but it would be nice to have two different impressions to pull from. We'll see.

Just a heads up...a 2k administrator on 2k.com said that they will be posting new 2k9 screens within the hour so be on the look out, hopefully they are better than the last few!

they look pretty good, picture of a hitter named Gordon, another pic of lincecum on the mound and a pic of Reyes..they look to be improved up to date pics unlike the last ones. of course, the lincecum picture looks amazing.
