Enhanced Career Mode incorporates a New Career Spotlight underscoring all of the accomplishments and failures during your career and showcases them in the limelight. You still call the shots but now the ramifications of your actions are documented. It’s up to you to determine whether your reel consists of highlights or miscues.

But don't bash the game over 8 screen shots give me a break.
nobody is bashing the game, only providing their opinions on what they see.

I agree with just about all the "negative" posts in here thus far. But as I said, last year, the screenshots didn't do the game justice and I suspect that will be the same this year. I'll reserve my judgments on the game and how it looks when I either:

A) see video of it in motion from a third party(someone other than Sony)

B) when I play and see the game for myself, on my television.

I don't know why people are getting bent out of shape because someone isn't singing the praises of the graphics. And one more thing, I like the fact that people are having to be nitpicky to find fault. Shows how great the game is already.

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to get across.. I said I am "not thrilled" because I actually want more than what was shown and some videos of gameplay I never had a problem with graphics in the game. I thought the game looked great last year and I figure it will be better this year.

Yes many people can look past such things especially when game play is great. Perfect example. Call of Duty 4. 1 of the Best Shooters ever IMO, but the textures looked horrible. This is not a knock on Infinity Ward again it's a knock on the hardware
I know you are a huge 2K'er and 360 fan, and everyone is entitled to their opinion... But this statement is SO wrong and really makes no sense, if read literally, that I just have to laugh.

Especially if you're posting at a fan forum and don't want any push back!

Has nothing to do with being a fan of 2k products or a 360 fan as I own both systems. The fact is most multi-platform games look better on the 360 than the ps3.

Look I don't want to turn this thread into a system flame war. I was pointing out something I saw which irks the crap out of me. Not sure why people are getting all bent out of shape about it.

How is it wrong? I am pretty convinced that most games available for both the 360 and PS3 generally look much better on the 360. You don't see it that way?

Being one of the "kids" I think most of the posts have just been pointing out details not bashing the game or even screenshots. For myself I just want the Cubs and every other teams uniforms to be right. It would be the same if the gave the Yankees royal blue hats in a screen shot. People would point out that it isn't right and they don't like it.

Like someone else pointed out it just shows how great The Show is, that people expect near perfection from it.

I'd bet you'd be more excited if I was headed to 2k.

I'm only playing. Guys should loosen up a bit more here. It's the same thing every year. Have a little confidence. They've been showing year in and year out they are committed to a great looking, great playing baseball game.

P.S. I'll bring you back a Sony t-shirt!

# 76 bodhiball @ 01/07/09 01:18 PM
so amidst the pages of debating, did you guys get a chance to read that they are GUARANTEEING they have more "signature styles" (walkups, stances, swings AND emotions) then any other baseball game?

This is fantastic considering that 2k8 actually did quite a bit of this.

# 77 bodhiball @ 01/07/09 01:21 PM
Hundreds Of Personalized Animations shows you recognizable, personalized player animations for everything from walk-ups, rituals, stances, swings – even emotions. All told more than any other baseball game on any platform. Guaranteed!

http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/Ga...ow/Description

there is a long list of details under Description on that page. A few things I hadnt heard about yet (crowd rivalries!)

That's awesome to peak in on league games. We were wondering if it would be possible to do it in our league last year.

Love T-Shirts. (I'm a XL BTW) As for SCEA, from what I've seen it's more than being committed to putting out a great product. The developers love baseball & for me that's probably the most important piece.

If you notice I am hanging out on this side of town a little more than usual. Reason being is The Show is on my radar big-time this year.

Every new MLB the show version on the PS3 i am sure will look a little better then the last one. But I think you are going to have to wait for "Playstation 4" until you will see graphics that will blow the older versions out of the water!

I happen to think the game looks great so far from what I have seen!

As long as Sony keeps adding all the "little details" and keeps making the gameplay better and fixes all the bugs I will be very happy!

Does MLB the show PS3 graphics blow me away.No not by a long shot. but I do think its a very very nice looking game!

I agree with you. The screens and graphic look great to me.
