For those playing on HDTV's, turn down your sharpness level. I had jaggies on my 120hz samsung, and it took away almost all jaggies.
Also, remember that there are recommended viewing distances for televisions. I play pretty close to the tv, but my face isnt smashed up against the screen.

Didnt pared say the 360 version seemed brighter and smoother?
Not trying to start any console war, but I think i remember him saying that?
Either way, im sure they are pretty identical.
Players look spot on, except for ray allen.

PS3 owners, if ur in the middle of downloading and the internet freezes, do u have to start over your download, or can u resume it where it left off? I've been downloading well over an hour, and its only 68% complete

this game is awesome!!! I love everything so far. finally you can block. when kobe was on a fast break I run behing him with allen and blocked him from behind while he was going up for a dunk. he fall on the floor but no foul was given. it looked fantastic and so real.

p.s. you can play the demo on 1080p. just turn off the checkboxes by 720p and 1080i. far less jaggies then.

How do I turn my sharpness down? In the TV menu or PS3? Jaggies are rough on 1080P Sony Bravia LCD.

Game is pretty sick though. Saw some NASTY plays thus far. The blocks are sick, and I've had KB24 pull off some just straight up sick things.

Stinks that there are no plays though, and no replays.

Overall, I'm definitely enjoying it.

I felt like if I need too, I could have Kobe play 5-1 and win. He's that darn good.

I love the steal animation. It's awesome. Watching the CPU play is also very, very awesome.

One minor thing though, I still have too many dunks in traffic, but I assume sliders can fix that.

Did I also tell you that shot stick adjustments are amazing?

Also, I have a little difficulty with the isomotion, but I feel I could get better if I play with the right camera and more practice.

This game feels near perfect. On a freaking demo.

Correct. 360 has the dedicated graphics card; PS3 would have be emulated via software.

This game is great! Did you guys see Pierce's free throw!? DEAD ON! Ray Allen's leaner is perfect. Uhh, I need some practice in the post, or KG is just to good and kills Gasol everytime

What happened to ISO, I'm trying to do some moves with the right stick, and my players keep putting there back towards the hoop, what is changed?

I just found it. I'm not sure how I did it but Rondo did his infamous "pivot-fake-pass-layup" paint move. I can't believe that you can actually do that in this game, it's unreal!

i feel u, man... iv been waiting for 15 mins and im only at 33%... but yes, if u stop it and turn your system off, it'll be there once u turn your system on again ready to resume downloading.....

note to self: get a faster net connection

I'm wondering the same thing, all I can pull off for Isomotion is the clockwise motion for a spin move, nothing else works for me. Even at a standstill w. Rondo or Fisher and flicking the stick back and forth does nothing, doesn't change hands or anything. What am I missing?

Moving on, layups are by far the biggest improvement in gameplay so far. It feels so much better, you don't get stuck in that annoying 6-10 foot range where I guy like Kobe will shoot an awkward pull up instead of busting into a strong layup animation. Not to mention the actual layups are much, much better.

The graphics are improved but not as huge of a jump as I expected from the screenshots. I'm definitely seeing jaggies like most people on PS3.

The players also feel like they have more weight to me this year despite the fact that there is still sliding. I dunno, it just feels better to me, more realistic.

The game feels quite a bit different from 2K8 but that's not a bad thing, it also doesn't help that I cant Isomotion to save my life right now.

This demo is so good, it has made me end my strike/holdout from OS. This demo is so good I had to say something. I have played the Live 09 demo and after this it is going to be very hard for me to go pick up both. If the demos are any indication of how good the games are then it means 2K9 for me hands down. Anybody who plays ball knows this game is sick!!!!
I know the spot in BG, Ohio will have Live 09 tomorrow and possibly 2K9 if not then they will have 2K9 on Saturday. No way in hell am I now driving down to get Live 09. Looks like a road trip after my sons Football game. Peace!!!!!
