Madden 09 Quick Patch #2 Update From EA

I'm back now and wanted to relay some news - we found and fixed the Franchise freezing issue that some have been seeing and decided to delay the patch a couple of days in order to get that in. Major thanks to this community ...a few folks here on OperationSports actually emailed me PS3 Franchise files which allowed us to track the issue down much more quickly. You guys rock - as always!

The patch is now at our internal quality control group, and then on to Sony and Microsoft by (we think) Friday.

We are still targeting about 2-3 weeks from now for the patch to drop, and of course I will keep you updated as things progress.

FWIW, I had the 1st patch while many here said they couldn't get it and I'm in Australia too, but this patch isn't coming up for me now. Then again, I'm guessing Jono is on the PS3 - I'm on the 360.

You know, I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but this has me wondering. If Ryan becomes interim HC, I'm going to keep a close eye on what his D is like in the 4th in these situations. Something stinks, and this seems to have CryptKeeper's decrepit fingerprints all over it.

How can you tell whether it's downloading the 2nd patch or the 1st one over again?

on PS3 it tells you which version its downloading. Example, with the first patch, its called version 1.10 and the 2nd patch will be 1.20. It also tells how big the file is.

Patch is not out for PS3 yet. At least not in the US.

Patch definitely isn't out. I checked at about 8:20am Central time before I left for my morning classes. Whoever that guy was is just lying. There's no way he could have simmed 3 seasons and offseasons yet. LOSER.

As I said, I can confirm here in Aus I had the 1st patch for hours while people here were reporting no patch. Perhaps EA/MS/Sony use the PAL regions as a test run first or something.

it is possible that over in Australia and Europe they have the patch already. It wouldn't be the first time.

No, the patch isn't out in Europe. I am from Europe and have just checked it. I wasn't asked to download anything. Only the new roster update is out. Sucks!

wow that sucks! Then it's not working for me. I've just checked it 3 mins ago. What's the deal? My PS3 was connected and I even wen to the Online lobby. Nothing but the roster update. What am I doing wrong? I should be prompted to download it, right? But nothing happened...

I'll be home in about 90m - Let's see if there is something out for the 360 in Europe - though I guess not... At least I can get the latest roster update and prepare it for franchise mode...

I fear I have to wait until tomorrow evening to get the patch, so I might as well try to get the "Bust-Team" a chance as in preparing a roster for it

I've checked it once again and nothing happened. I went to the online lobby, went to play an online game, went to play an exhibition game and it never asked me to download a patch or anything else. I'm from Germany and I've used my european account.

So maybe it's not out in Germany?

Quick question: I've been following the update thread and Phil's posts, and I haven't seen any recent mention one way or the other about how the proposed DLC fits into the patch discussion. I recall that Ian said it would be proposed but that there was no guarantee it could be released--has anyone else seen further commentary on this?

The Patch is available in the UK. I downloaded it at 4pm BST. Version 1.20 and its 26mb in size
