Now, you know what us PS3 gamers had to go through with Madden and NHL. As much as you want to spin it, it just wasn't good enough.
Ok, so I lied. I'm back but only to make a few comments here and there.

I, personally, don't care about fps. It just doesn't bother me so I don't even notice. I'm not even sure what everyone is arguing about with fps. I just play the game and as long as it doesn't lag I'm fine. I haven't noticed anything that would be annoying to me.

I'm perfectly happy with this game after one day. We'll see how I feel in a month. Right now my biggest issues are CPU swinging at too many first pitches and the CPU not throwing enough balls. But I haven't played with sliders so we'll see how that works.

I don't have to justify my purchase. I'm happy with this game. It plays good baseball to me.

I don't even care to try the demo because well, that would be a waste of my time and I honestly don't care if people do or don't buy the game. I'm enjoying it so far and that's all that matters to me.

That's why I'm retiring from these threads. I'll make some select appearances but that's it. I rather be playing the game.

The PSN store almost always updates on Thursday afternoons. The only times it doesn't are special occasions, such as the Warhawk release or the GH3 Dream On download.

If the 360 demo came out today, the PS3 demo will more than likely be right behind it tomorrow.

Beaten to the punch! D'oh!

Throw a curveball with Beckett or Dice-K and make sure you have a fairly high level of Effectiveness, gesture and release. Then watch the replay and see the break on that ball. I am aiming just under the batter's chin (height) on some of these nasty hooks, and although I do not get full effectiveness on ALL of them, the one's that I do get it right on are F.I.L.T.H.Y.

Wow... no wonder they waited to release the demo after the release date. The framerate is horrible, graphics look worse, and right stick gimmick for pitching and hitting is a waist. I do like the analog for throwing though but im glad i went with the show instead of this.

uhh... I was actually impressed by the demo.. it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be...

Pitching is great... batting is alright... and I like fielding...

I didn't experience really any choppiness in the field..

Graphics are kinda blah.. but doesn't really matter.

I have some questions for those that have the game though...

1) Can you turn of Joe and Jon Miller?

2) Are you seeing ground balls? I didn't see many.

Give me a freakin' break. Anyone with half a brain know what went on here.

I honestly feel bad for the guys convincing themselves the game is somewhat enjoyable just so they don't feel like they just wasted $60. Obviously guys are genuinely liking the game... but I'm sure there are a few making lemonade out of those lemons.

Terrible, just terrible.
agreed 100%, the game is bad, just bad, they tried some nice things,, but sham on Brinkman for saying the game runs smooth, I lost some respect in him now, the game runs like it's running in quicksand.

Well i'll have the game in my hands this evening so I stopped downloading the demo LOL!

I dunno what to think about this game until I actually play it.

Just played some of the demo.

Pros:
I like the pitching. Although, it remains to be seen whether I will be able to get a fair amount of BBs. After reading most of the comments, I expected it to take a lot of practice. But I actually had it down in about 5 pitches. The only thing that threw me off was when guys got on base and it sped up because Matsuzaka was pitching from the stretch. Hitting is good too. I only played the demo last year, but I didn't like the swing stick. I actually like 2.0, though.

Cons:
i don't like the umpiring. Mainly in regards to balls and strikes. If a seam of the ball so much as glanced the strike zone, it was called a strike.

I had one played with Ortiz where I popped a ball foul right behind home plate. The catcher only had to move about 2 steps to catch it, but he didn't move.

It's a shame that in three years on next gen and this game still can't run at a decent rate.

Might have been the ump personality

Thing is... even with the graphics of last year... I feel it ran smoother.

Ahh yes, the one day of extra sales. All successful businesses are built by holding back the demo that one day for those cushy sales, most of which happen to be the same people that were going to buy the game anyhow because certain individuals simply have to have things on the very first day of release.

This makes a far better consipiracy theory than it does a business model. I'm sure they more than paid for their development costs in one day's worth of sales.

Furthermore, if your theory held true, why release the demo at all? Seriously, I want to see how far some of you are willing to take this absurdity.

After playing the demo, its like they put no effort in this at all. I'm sorry but worst textures and graphics shouldn't equal a worse frame rate than last year!

I see it even when the 2nd baseman throws it to first... the ball just skips across.

I'm sorry but this is pathetic excuse of a baseball game. 3 years and they can't get the frame rate right. Three years!

Last gen I really liked 2K baseball but this gen it has been nothing but a disappointment.

Welcome to OS. People get agitated about every game not annointed as "best ever in the genre".

It'll pass in a week or so. Then it'll back down to just complaints, of which, after a week or so, even the annointed games get. Life then goes on until the next game comes out, and the process starts again.

The only part that makes this that much worse is it is a bit of a niche title with its competition being on another system. So then we have the usual stupidity, plus the complaining, plus a pseudo system war........

Quite amusing to watch.

shakes head....
