The Air Raid is finally working in Bloomington; however, you can't expect to win while letting the opposition score 39. Michigan State helped Indiana with a few turnovers, which kept the score close.

Penn State did not score an offensive touchdown. Moreover, MSU's turnovers kept them in the game. The Spartans still dominated time of possession, while maintaining possession of the Land Grant Trophy.

Inspired by the vitality of the Oregon offense, MSU has opted to overhaul their entire offensive scheme in favor of the spread.
Oregon's offense became their base playbook, but we did transfer some of the formations from the previous MSU Quick/Pro scheme.
As a result, Austin Olsen has become the starter. Connor Cook will inexplicably remain on the bench, unless we find some pass-only formations for him.

The Spartans traveled to Autzen Stadium to complete a home-and-home. Understandably, this matchup was more competitive than last year's. However, the Ducks had already been upset by Wyoming before entering this game.

After introducing new FBS regulations, we did note that we would evaluate each team after each season. With this evaluation we determine if anything needs to change by conference.
The committee has determined:
The committee has determined:
- Idaho is mandated to return to the WAC. Their record does not reflect the presitge of an FBS independent.
- UL Lafayette has been promoted to the Big 12.
- Nevada joins the Pac-12 North Division.
- Hawaii joins the Pac-12 South Division.
- The Pac-12 edits their protected rivalries.
- Tulsa joins the West Division of the Big East.
- Memphis heads to the West Division of Conference USA.
- Utah State is granted its leave to the Mountain West.
- Kansas is mandated to move to the MAC West Division.

Thankfully, this game did not freeze, but it wasn't as tense as the last time I tried to play the National Championship. The game was surely close, but after the 1st half, the outcome was never in doubt.

My game froze during the post-game celebration of a very-thrilling 34-33 2 OT victory against (2) Texas Longhorns! I went for 2 to take the win, rather than head to OT #3. A HB draw won the National Championship...
So, I will sadly have to play it over again. Honestly, I wouldn't want this game to occur again. I threw 5 interceptions against a great defense.

If you do not recall, some custom changes were made to the FBS. Now that "Bowl Season" is upon us, we can reflect on the first year of these changes.
Conferences were forced to sever ties to specific BCS bowls. After #1 and #2 are selected for the National Championship, each of the remaining AQ conference champions are slotted into the bowls. The results were:
(3)North Carolina (10-3, 7-3) vs. (4)Cal (9-2, 6-2) in the Rose Bowl.
(6)Mississippi State (11-1, 9-1) vs. (11)Colorado (10-2, 7-2) in the Sugar Bowl.
(5)Alabama (8-3, 6-3) vs. (8)Wisconsin (9-3, 5-3) in the Orange Bowl.
(7)Georgia (9-3, 8-1) vs. (23) Connecticut (9-3, 6-3) in the Fiesta Bowl.
Also, the Big East had a Championship game, where Connecticut narrowly defeated an SMU team that surprised many with a 9-4 record.

Jeremy Langford began the season at #2 on the depth chart behind the leading rusher in the FBS. That was until Nick Hill missed parts of multiple games due to injury. For one week, Langford and Hill were #1 and #2 respectively in the FBS for rushing yards.
With a total of 2097, Jeremy Langford was awarded the Heisman Trophy.

I just realized that I skipped the update for the Minnesota game. You didn't miss much. MSU won 66-0.
Afterwards, Michigan State finally faced an opponent not named Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship. Still, the result was the same.

Apparently, passing wasn't the way to go today. Connor Cook threw 3 interceptions against Northwestern, and they capitalized for points on each one. Thankfully, MSU's rushing attack absorbed the blow.
