Madden still needs work its not there or i dont even think its close to be honest. my list would be too long of the things that would make this game better

Right now it's about a 6/10, I'm just assuming that post-patch Madden 09 will be great, let's hope.

I agree with the score of the review. It's a solid game but there needs to be a lot fixed, re-emphasized and re-thought. Still, a good showing.

Good game. Missing some oomph though. Rushing is a battle at all times. I've played with the difficulty sliders and its either daylight all day or stuck in the trenches. Can't seem to find a good middle ground.
Defense is a major disappointment. Computer controlled players are useless and I can only control 1 at a time. I've always loved playing in the trenches as a DT and switching it up with the MLB for blitzes etc. But this year you just keep running into a brick wall. The only way you can beat the o-line is using the DE to edge rush and avoid any contact with a o-lineman. Either way the QB (no matter how useless - say Rex Grossman) has a quick release and always seems to find an open man! Frustrating! I've used all plays - blitzes, zones, man coverage... I only have one play that seems to get any success but thats touch and go - either a completion or an interception... not much middle ground.

Needs a lot of work, but I'm keeping the faith.
