I read somewhere that Yukes would work along with the 2k guys and a transition would take place where it would all be eventually 2k taking the reigns. WWE 2k14 will most likely be the same...maybe start seeing a difference 2k15 or 16

Re: WWE 2K14

NBA 2k13 updates the game every single week even if its something as little as dwight howards shirt under his jersey. If you dont think 2k is going to jump on this game and make it 20 times better right away than you are crazy. I cant wait til it comes out.

Re: WWE 2K14

i think a 'you only control one guy' in a wrestling game is boring; it can only go down so many avenues (think of the newer fight night games). its fun to have the option, but as far as the core experience goes, there's a reason most of the modes focus on skipping around from wrestler to wrestler, or managing the whole roster....doing the same moves and finisher all the time gets lame quick. well, maybe not lame, but compared to controlling more than one guy, it just can't compare.

admittedly universe in '13 is at the exact opposite end of the spectrum, being a bit too broad, but i think the sweet spot is in the middle, not in a 'my player' type mode. because

1) it's not fun doing the same moves all the time
and
2) it's not fun customizing a new moveset in between every match lol. it sounds like a recipe for 'stale' to me.

I hope 2K adds a My Wrestler mode ala My Player/Career mode from the NBA 2K games.

I disagree. If they make feuds matter and have branching story lines it wouldn't get stale. The problem was Road to WM didn't branch off or really let you decide anything at all that affected your career for that 1-2 year mode. Let me start by chasing lower tiered belts on my way to the WWE title.

Re: WWE 2K14

Well if we are going to get basically the same game then those of us that paid full price for WWE '13 should be able to get this one for around $20-$30, with proof of purchase. Seriously, if they don't intend on adding too much then why not just stick with WWE '13 and release DLC (patchs, outfits, match types, PPVs, enterances, belts, moves, and wrestlers) until WWE 2K15 is ready?!?!?

Because of the money.

In case you don't know, money runs this world. Why wouldn't they release a new game that is similar to last years? They just got the license, might as well see how well the game sells and plays. You know you're going to buy it anyway.

Not sure if this is legit or not, but it's a pretty sweet teaser pic.
