Sure hope he comes back before the camera starts rolling for his advertised Smackdown appearance tonight. Would hate to hear Michael Cole have to tell us how he let them all down in his unprofessionalism.

Crazy but you felt it was only a matter of time given everything.

Now would be the best time to really dive into a new era in WWE.

For better or worse, it'll just be weird seeing a WWE without Vince McMahon. It's far bigger than a GM or something like that leaving a sports team. He literally created the company and has been involved in everything since day 1.

As unpopular as it would be, I wonder if they'd even consider an in ring retirement segment for him or anything like that.

Under normal circumstances, the final 30 mins of Raw in MSG could've been devoted to that, like we saw with Flair, but I doubt that would cut it right now.

Different temperaments of the people in charge, TBH.

I get you think how they treated Naomi & Sasha was/is "wrong," but they brought it upon themselves just like Brock brings on anything that comes.

And obviously, he's a bigger deal than either two so they'll likely deal with him with kid gloves.

Brock Lesnar is a bigger deal than Sasha Banks and Naomi.

Sasha Banks could be a star, and very soon. She's not Brock Lesnar.

Naomi...is well, Naomi.

So the rumor mill is running that the Summerslam main event is very much in jeopardy and that WWE is making overtures to Goldberg in the case they can't get Brock back on board.

It also sounds like Vince didn't meet with talent...simply sent a group text message confirming the news that he was retiring.

You have AJ Styles really doing nothing, and you go Goldberg?

I mean it is 8 days and Goldberg will draw, but blah.

I wonder if that's more the reason why Brock left.

Not so much that Vince had to go, but moreso that he just abruptly left and doesn't even tell Brock anything either. Not sure how well Brock gets along with someone like Stephanie, or HHH, but I'd imagine he respects Vince way more.

Brock said in his interview on The Pat McAfee Show that Vince was like a father to him. So if it's true that Vince sent a simple text message...I could see Brock feeling slighted by that.
