They just pushed out another update today with a few rating tweaks. It also included Steve Nash.

Pictures included of Steve Nash here since I know some of you will think I'm lying:

The outlet passes have come back with force and the stupid TOs as well. Today a TO was given to me when the last one to touch hit was a player from the other team (hit in the leg after a pass).
I had the same thing. After the patch I never hit another wide-open (that's all I ever take) three pointer in a game. But I hit six of seven in a single practice. Not a huge deal breaker for me since I don't shoot many threes anyway, I prefer to drive the lane, but for pete's sake tweaking isn't the same as removing. Plus, people were used to nailing 60% or better of their threes because of the bandaid used for the shot meter glitch. When it takes six weeks to fix something, during which time threes were improved due to the shot meter bandaid, having an oh-for-fifteen over three games is painful. It just feels like the improvements in the patches aren't moderate but extreme.

The same extremism happened in transition offense. For me, in MyCareer, I went from everyone spotting up for threes during a fast break to no one doing anything on a fast break. Once that began to happen, I said enough is enough and quit playing. Maybe after a few more patches I'll return but for now not a chance.

Not that there aren't some legitimate gripes out there, but man, some of the complaints in these posts are comical.
I don't think anyone is expecting a 100% realistic video game. What irritates most of the people, me included, is that the game has become worse in certain aspects, while some glaring issues from previous 2Ks are still not addressed. How is it possible that they have gone backwards despite all the investment and time they had to make a better product? For example, transition was OK on 2k16 and it's completely broken now. Interior defense is way worse now and it's nothing to do with skill or anything - passes in the paint are very difficult to stop and to top it off if you don't switch in time, AI will make a foul and the good defense you played the previous 22 seconds accounts for nothing. Not to go further and repeat lots of posts before me, you get what my point.

Exactly this. We all want perfect, or what we as individuals perceive as perfect to us, but we also know that it won't happen. So, I'd say I can speak for a lot of us (complainers) and say that we'd be happy if there were at least slight improvement to legacy issues, or at the very least - no regression. Having to try and stomach the defensive play in this game is a chore. The on ball defense is clairvoyant and robotic, but off ball defenders are lobotomy victims. The cpu can shoot 60% and higher on me, effortlessly. Transition everything is pure and utter garbage. Seriously...there's no way to even remotely put a positive spin on it.

I don't play online so I thankfully don't have the headaches many endure. With that said it's pretty much unacceptable that in 2016 there are server stability issues. The same issues that were present back in the Dreamcast days. There are so many games out there that have a huge online population running 24/7 yet they don't have these issues.

We aren't all being unreasonable. Or I'll say that to me, what I just mentioned aren't unreasonable expectations.

Has anyone played any games vs the CPU since the ACE updates today? Does it seem like defense was helped by these updates?

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

BS! If you call AI bumping into "AI with the ball" and shoving/sliding him out of bounds without him moving his feet a good non-steal turnover... well ok. I call it broken.

ACE Update? Did you mean the in-game Update? Do they tell us what has changed with those?
All I can say is, after the in-game update today all my games have been terrible. I can't hit open shots, my team can't do layups and screens are not working since the defender just blows by. I have no idea what is going on. I actually played a few games right before the in-game update and those were very close and absolutely fair.

Oh yes, I even forgot online matchmaking and lag. I play online. 20 games so far, at least 15 was a mirror match. I play with the Bulls and pray every time to get any other opponent, even GSW or Cleveland...But no, I wait for a few minutes (unacceptable since last year I only had to wait for 10 seconds or so) and get to play against the Bulls again. 2k16 it was irritating to play against Warriors and Cavs 90% of the time, but this is an even worse extreme.

Re: NBA 2K17 Patch 1.05 Available Now, Rosters Updated - Full Details Here

As I said in my other post in this thread, the patch did improve the gameplay. Glad to see I can play 12 minute quarters without seeing constant sky high scores & shooting percentages. Liking the speed of the game. The CPU doesn't make every shot.

I'm enjoying the game but to a fault. I hate that I have to constantly sprint down the court with the center to prevent cheap layups. My teammate defenders stand & watch offensive players run right past them. Lots of bailout paint foul calls.

I feel like there's a few glaring issues that if removed would make this game damn great. Its already pretty good seeing that 2k gets a lots of things right but certain pros are cancelled out by certain cons. Some of those cons are just too prevelant at times, messes up the flow of the game. Instead of the CPU playing good basketball they resort to cheap tactics. Defenders warping into you, rebounds grabbed thru your body, full court passes for an easy lay up, etc.

With all of this said regarding CPU gameplay I've still been winning. I do think that good ball movement on offense & the good that you "can" do on defense will win you games. Might be frustrating at times though. I was killing the Suns as the Warriors in my last game & they just kept finding ways to make it closer than it should have been. Won by 10 points but the lead should have been much bigger.

That's the rest of my 2 cents on this game post patch. MyLeague/Quick Games offline, Superstar default, 12 minutes. Has anyone else found more success shooting with the shot stick since the update? Before this update I went back to square because it didn't seem to make a difference. Now I'm back to the shot stick & I'm making significantly more shots.
