A legit excuse is....its all subjective. There is no middle ground. There are some models that I think are exact (D. Lillard) but I promise you there is someone who has a "major issue" with his bicep or calves or fingers or mustache.

It depends on the person. That doesnt mean that a person cant complain about the model being "off" in their opinion. But you cant follow that up with "2k needs to get this right" because "right" depends on the person.

I promise you 2k's art team looked at Paul George and thought "he looks realistic." Others disagree.
Devs also cut corners to meet deadlines.

with that said, again, this doesnt bother me one way or the other. but perspective from all sides have to be taken into account. the overall consensus is that the player builds are off. and likeness truly matters to a **** ton of people as it aids their gaming experience.

Some people care about these details some people don't. YES WE GET IT. No one is acting like twitter internet gangster kids on here, no one needs to be policed by the "I don't care what they look like cause I remember what they looked like in Kobe Bryant NBA Courtside - types.

Yes we all agree gameplay first. That is what makes a video game good or crap. Duh. But A) the same dev team that do the "body scans" are not the same dev team that implements gameplay improvement. B) This is a TRAILER. It's showcasing the aesthetics. If members see things that are off that you think look fine, cool. It's not about being satisfied or not. It's about the desire to see technology pushed towards realism with each installment. Other wise why aren't we just all content with our old antenna tv with analog programming?
well said.

I dont think anyone was using that as a precursor to "bash." Its just an acknowledgment that many of us have some perspective when it comes to NBA games.

So when I see people describe a player model as "horrible", I remember other NBA games that had actual "horrible" models and recognize that the statement is just hyperbole.

I see people go over the top with their descriptions and it makes me tune them out because while they may be unhappy with D. Howard's hair or George's body....those models arent "horrible" or some kind of "insult" (actual quotes from this thread).

The Knicks 3 point line should also be blue. That should've been picked up on by 2k, and I've never seen anyone post it. Now I understand how others complain about small things like ankles etc. it's small details that matter sometimes

In this thread. I would never take one thread or even OS as an example of the "overall consensus" when it comes to anything about a game.

lol but its not really hyperbole. it's all relative. your measuring stick is how far we've come. their measuring stick is where we exist, technologically, in the present. i mean, Jordan(in the initial screenshots) looked horrible. so much so that it was written about in regular news publications.

I guarantee 99% of people who play the game think Paul George looks fine.
