2. Not sure if it's because the ball doesn't hit the plate on choppers in game or they just don't have the physics for it but I realize now that this is why we never get the super high choppers that happen in real life. I have neve seen a chopper in game so high that it goes right over the infielders heads, yet it's a normal occurence in real life. This would also reduce the amount of crappy dribblers in front of the plate, so double win.

3. I know we aren't getting new body models this year but can't they at least "shrink" the lower weight models so guys like Altuve and Gyorko aren't fat? Even Donaldson does not look nearly as thick in real life as he does in the first stream.
I've been saying this for years! Guys like Carlos Gonzales and even Tulo are all very lean, powerful guys yet the modeling in MBLTS makes them look like middle linebackers with huge torsos and quads. Not everyone is built like Chris Davis.... I would love to see new, updated player models

Another thing I think I just discovered from the last live stream is I think they are getting rid of the constant scrolling team logos and the like on the LED ribbon boards that go around the stadiums. Looks like they will still animate on home runs and other game situations. Now if they can update all the stadiums with there correct LED stat boards then it's party time

This is the right thing to do becasue in real life stadiums you do not see constant team logos scrolling on those ribbon boards around the stadiums. What you see is ads and stats and then they animate on home runs and other things.

If you compare Kauffman and Rogers Centre from 15 and 16 you will see what I mean.

I guess we will hear more about this in the upcoming Graphical Improvements stream.

I pre-ordered once to get the free classic stadiums.

What is the advantage to pre-ordering this year's game? I intend to buy it the first day it is available but I'm not aware of a predicted shortage of copies available to purchase.

From how I understand it, feel free to correct me if I am wrong, it means the CPU will no longer have the advantage of being able to know exactly how a ball will come off of the wall, or will no longer be able to run to a spot and camp under the ball. Instead they will have to act more like a real fielder and anticipate, but based on fielding ratings will be wrong sometimes, or take a bad angle and have the ball scoot past them. This only happens very occasionally right now, most time it skips past an outfielder it is because they dove for the ball and missed.

For human players, based on ratings a bad outfielder may take a step in on a line drive that is hit directly toward them allowing the ball to go over their head. It happens all the time in the MLB, so I don't see why the complaints. A good fielder is still likely to have the correct reaction.

The more we can differentiate between the elite, very good, good, average, below average and truly bad players the better. This is always the biggest beef people have in sports games and SCEA seems to be willing to do something about it, unlike other games like Madden or NHL where most players are pretty much cut from the same cloth.
I'm hoping. That's why I'm asking for clarification if the developers choose to answer (they don't have to. I don't expect them to).

It's seems to me, however, what you describe is Improved Fielding Logic and Improved Defensive Ratings. "Now fielders are better separated!"

This is "better routes" which implies something different to me like poor routes were previously taken. But were they? I don't know. Would love to understand the logic because there are two right ways to do this. Unfortunately, one right way is a bandaid to a bigger problem.

Free stuff. Stubs, cards, card packs, equipment. I think the base version doesn't have a whole lot for preorder bonus, unless places like Gamestop or wherever have a special promotion. I preorderd from Amazon and got 20% off as a PRIME member. Though I'm still considering cancelling that and going digital, even if it does cost full retail.

The info we gave on them Tuesday is about all we are going to reveal. The only thing left is what are the types of accuracy traits and what are the types of bias traits. But we won't be revealing those.
