The multipliers vary based on difficulty, offline vs online and other factors. But the end result is, some greens might be 60% while others might be 95%. That's a simplified explanation but hope it answers your question.

Thanks man yes that explains pretty much all my questions. Yep I get it now. Looking forward to see this and glad you guys can tweak it without a patch. Describes it well it is somewhere between 14 and 15 shooting systems.

  • 2K16 is part user skill with the timing of perfect release but not 100% success
  • Contested shots can't get a perfect release so the quality has an impact
  • Non shooters will be unable to achieve a perfect release
  • Shooting multiplier is tied to difficulty and online vs. offline I guess for lag

Re: Green Releases Much Rarer in NBA 2K16, No Longer 100%

Beluba, can I be one to say this has been extremely fresh having a member actually take time to answer questions?

It has restored a lot of my frustration with this franchise.

However, I still have one retort, if i may.

I think that the shooting got out of hand. Everyone sees this. I was a month behind release and was a very avid member of the park community and thoroughly enjoyed my experience for the most part.

My observations that irked me more than ever was the crippling blow that was dealt early on in the game to ball handlers and inside threats. I believe it was as of patch 3 that essentially gave way to the public leaning towards playing the outside.

I was lead to believe that the nerfing of posterizer and the behind the back moves was intended to make the game more competitive. We had the park championship going at the time and this essentially took the rivet city ruff ryders out of the tournament. I was a flyer so i wasn't as upset as others.

To the point, I've always played the point. As someone who handles most of the distribution and tempo of the game i felt that literally both of my hands were tied behind my back for the most part. I'm not saying the dribbling system is broken, but it was definitely toned down.

My question is this: the current state of online play had been extremely well documented. However, the balance was almost strictly hindered by your patches. I'm sure most people would agree they would rather have the game play how it did before patch 4 than it is now.

Is this what we can expect this year? I hope that if 2k puts out another strong and balanced game of hoops they won't cater to the twitter feed of mindless non-nba fans trying to compete with life long fans of the series?

We love you guys, that's why we've stuck with you.

What are the difficulty settings in MyPark & Pro Am with this news?

Also, can we rotate our player when selecting a jumpshot, to better see the release. peace.

Please, PLEASE heavily consider making this setting the default for Superstar and above.

Thats interesting, because in the thread explaining the shot meter before 2k15's release, something was said to the contrary.
