"New speed paradigm for fielders and base runners"

Any information on what that means? New speed rating method for players? New way players move?

Last year it seemed that players speed was tied into steal ability, meaning, a player who had previously stole x-amount of bases had that figured into his speed rating. Is that different this year?

I just want to thank The Show staff for listening to our wishes regarding deepening the GM portion of the game with editable salaries, goals, and trade finder. Those are huge and much needed.

I am curious as to how the game will adapt both from a trade/FA logic standpoint and from a allowable budget standpoint when the contracts are edited to fit real life.

So, question - if I migrate my franchise using whatever the latest and greatest rosters are leading into the 2015 season and then sim through so that I'm in spring training, what will happen with the salaries? Can you edit them inside the franchise?

Also, and forgive me if this has been answered, but will the 2015 OS Full Minors team work on an opening day roster, and if so, will they edit the salaries as well?

I don't see how it being one video game vs another would affect how the courts view ownership of tattoos. It's not as though one judge will say the law is one thing for Madden, but another for other games. Even if the court rules the player owns his tattoo at some point, the threat of even going to court in other cases is going to keep developers out. If Tiburon is scared enough of litigation to not add any tattoos without consent from the artist, don't you think it's a real threat and other developers would also tread lightly?

EDIT: Also the "own what you purchase" statement is way oversimplified. If you go to Disney and buy a bunch of Mickey Mouse logos/stickers, you can't turn around and slap them on another product and sell the product. That would be textbook copyright infringement. Even though you owned the stickers/logos.

A video game studio profiting off of potentially copyright-able original art (i.e. the Mickey Mouse sticker) is similarly copyright infringement if the artist is able to protect his designs.

To be fair, most tattoos that I see are copies of things that already existed (foreign words, common symbols or patterns), a lot of it is even copyrighted imagery that artists don't own (possibly breaking copyright themselves, famous characters for example) so it's WAY more complex than your example.

If you decorate a cake with Bugs Bunny or some generic pattern, you don't own the rights to bug bunny or said generic pattern.

Obviously, MLB the Show couldn't put tattoos of copyrighted characters in the game anyway.

This might be a can of worms, but....30 legends are in the game, which I assume to be one per team/franchise. Who do you think will be your team's representative?

Really hope Ernie Banks was picked for the Cubs, the decision would have had to have been made long before his passing though.

I am curious if the Show will go the way of other franchises and release DLC with Legends. I'm guessing most likely not since contracts with Legends have to be individually made, unless I'm mistaken.

However, if its one per team, I am torn between Ozzie Smith and Stan Musial for the Cardinals.
