The qb in this game is more concerned with completion percentage than winning the game...untill this changes, no gameplay adjustmentents will improve how long they holds the ball. The logic is not human based and therefore not down and distance related....meaning that if the cpu needs more than ten yards for a completion or first down, the cpu qb will always take the high percntage pass over the ill-advised downfield pass. This makes madden easy on any level as long as you stuff the first two plays. Its lazy programing and is deeply embeded in its code. I've seen the cpu have 7 or more seconds to make a throw and its final determination was an out to the running back for a loss while clearly having another option.

Depends on how extreme your sliders are I guess. I've pretty well went default. I don't play the CPU much anymore though. 80% of my games are online CFM or other online user games

Really surprised to hear you say that this game plays better after the update, charter. I spent all afternoon with this game, and all I can say, is that Tiburon wrecked it. This gameplay reminds me of Madden 13, which was a terrible game. I'm done with it. I tried default sliders and rosters. They dumbed down the pass defense, which is the first thing I noticed. Before the patch the corners and safeties, as well as linebackers, were very aggressive with my settings. Now, I can't get them to be aggressive on any settings. I throw all over the field.

Yea. I don't know. I played a game and a half and I honestly didn't notice much difference. The CPU QB was harder to sack and less Robo in accuracy. It was a little harder to run ISO runs up the middle. It just wasnt as drastic to me. You check out my archived stream and see what you think.

Either way most of my games are against humans these days. That helps a lot for me. Being in a sim league is much better than playing the CPU to me.

Please don't take offense to this, I know you have been around on OS for years and helped a lot of people out, but wondering if you think that because you have been disappointed with the initial game, that maybe you are looking for problems? Lots of people have said that the game feels better etc.

Like I said, not having a go, just thought it could be a case of the "reverse placebo" effect. If you are expecting rubbish, it will be.
