Granted, there were a few notable errors, most memorably the Chicago Bears' orange pants, but Tiburon was if anything ahead of the curve, at worst on the curve to that end.
I think he might be talking about the gloves. That's the only thing I can think of.

Yeah. I mean it's worked so far, right?

I think some of (if not all?) accessory designs are from the Reebok days. Don't quote me on that because I'm not a huge equipment guy so I couldn't tell you personally, but I think I've seen that mentioned.

With that said there is still room for the game to be a solid product, I don't think most on here are judging the final product based on this trailer especially with E3 next week. But in terms of creating exciting about any aspect of the game other than graphics it just didn't do that in the eyes of most.
im not sure how anyone would be excited by a 15 second clip that cuts the scene every 3 seconds to another one. and there are numerous here already saying m15 is trash based off this 15 second clip. Personally i thought m25 on ps4 was the best madden ive played in a long long time. again its not perfect and no game is or ever will be . Some will just find faults no matter what. The game plays well in m25 , i run an online league , and have done so for years, so i think i might know if the game has improved or not from a true feel for the game view. I was tired of madden too, up until m13 . they showed improvement, and improved more on m25. so im just gonna have to actually play m15 before i can say its not gonna be any good or not. However, these few clips , dont really show you much of anything. Which is what i expected

If that clip showed movement and interactions that resembled the NFL more than Madden, plenty of people would be excited. Look how excited people were by one screenshot. People are starving for something to be excited about. The majority of people here don't want to "hate on" Madden.

The gaming industry is exponentially bigger today than it was 10yrs ago. It's at a point where it's bigger than the movie industry and is widely accepted, in some form or another, by pretty much everyone. That is a drastic occurrence. As popular as the NFL was 10yrs ago, it is even more popular today as unfathomable as that may seem. Madden is the only licensed NFL game in existence. When you take anyone of those factors alone you would think that Madden would be in a great position, yet with ALL of those factors happening which are extremely favorable and should be conducive to driving the brand to new heights, that 14mil number of Football videogamers that purchased a Football game 10yrs ago, has not only not grown, it's dwindled by anywhere from 7-9mil people. Amidst all of love that videgames and the NFL has gotten over the last 10yrs, they decided to stop buying them and they have not been replaced, let alone expanded upon.

Now I'm not saying that EA/Tiburon should necessarily be listening to OS or like minded sim gamers for advice, but who ever they are listening to isn't doing them much good either.

The title still sells well when compared to other most other AAA titles, but when compared to the target market that was there, for them to have fumbled their audience away the way they have, given how many advantages they have been blessed with, relatively speaking, it isn't the success you would think at first cursory glance.
At one point it was estimated that one in three households in the United States had a Sony PlayStation2 console, and the console sold just over 155 million units worldwide lifetime. Comparatively speaking, the sales of the the XBOX 360 and PS3 _combined_ barely top that, and Madden also ships on two fewer platforms now given the discontinuing of the Nintendo console and PC releases.

Gaming is a bigger industry, yes, but the biggest advances commercially absolutely haven't been in the console space with the exception of the biggest blockbusters (Call of Duty, etc.). Mobile devices such as the iPhone and iPad, along with the unique Nintendo Wii motion-controlled console, introduced a huge pool of people from brand-new demographics into the universe of potential video game buyers beyond traditional console and PC gamers.

There's any number of reasons to explain how Madden sells compared to ten years ago beyond Madden itself, above are just a couple.

You cant gather hardly anything from this "gameplay trailer" Most of whats being said ,is mostly being based off their past maddens they didnt like. Not the fact its been getting better since m13.

As for the player lock camera, i only played the last ncaa demo, it was a camera angle you could choose that was behind the d player you picked, closer to field level, but alittle to far back from player imo.

I TOTALLY agree with you on the part about needing a more 3rd person view to make the game more SIM. Ive said this for years. The normal overhead , see all of the field and everyone on it with nothing blocking your view, is UNSIM in itself and generates alot of unsim gameplay due to being able to see more than a real player could at once. Its not a true measure of ones football IQ as well as , your not seeing it as a real NFL player sees it. Im sure all qbs in NFL would love to see their games from that overhead view for this very reason. I personally would love a better on the field camera. In madden 10 co -op online they had it pretty close to how it needs to be , and you could switch players on d in the middle of a play. The main thing they needed to fix with that view then was allow the ability to look around your player. So im hoping one of the new 6 camera angles gives us a better on the field view myself, one for the reasons you mentioned , although as you noted if everyone doesnt have to use it , it only really helps the lobby players be bettter by having a cheating view of field while you play like a real football player view. The other reason i want this , i actually want to get a better feeling like im actually on a nfl field, playing in a nfl game. That madden 10 co-op gave me that feel more than any others ive seen. So for those reasons i hope they have a good camera angle on the field.
I hear you. I can't speak for anyone else, but there are things that I can discern about the end product just by looking at videos. I play a ton of games and have played every Madden game ever except the Apple II version. It isn't much of a stretch to be able to look at a vid and see CERTAIN aspects of the game that are unchanged, or... not good. If I had never played Madden before then I could see saying some things as being a snap judgement, but I think after 25yrs of playing the game, I'm qualified to at least make extremely educated guesses about much of what I see. Throw in that I usually never get contradicted by the end product and I feel even more confident in making assessments.

Aside from that, it's a trailer. EA wants me to have a positive opinion of the game by watching, so much so that I buy it, so why can't I have a negative opinion of it, just by watching?

Agree on the camera angle stuff. I'd kill for them to address the inherent unrealistic gameplay issues that come with the Skycam. I just don't see it happening. As it stands it would be a fun diversion and increase immersion, but if the game isn't based around it and is optional, it's pretty useless in a head to head sense. Quite disadvantageous too as I'm sure, almost no one will use.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Official Trailer, Ultimate Edition Details and a Few Screenshots

The gloves seem like the same old ones, but the cleats appear to be updated for some players. In the Sherman screenshot, Demaryius Thomas is still wearing the LT cleats from like 7 years ago. Sherman however, appears to be wearing cleats from last season. Granted, they aren't the playoff ones that will probably be what most players will wear this year, but at least it is an update. And I don't get why the gloves haven't been updated. NCAA had updated gloves for 14 that had team logos and were the one's for the upcoming season.
