I don't want to get a PS4 until there are enough games that I want in order to justify the purchase of the PS4.
you could always dl a demo. sony has gone on record saying the ps4 will have full demos for all games (most likely similar to the 60 minute full game trials they have on ps3). as far as player progression trade logic etc. just sim a season or 2 and see what happens.

So, for those that have played the game, would you say there will be more positive info that we should expect after the embargo is lifted tomorrow? Basically, should we expect much new information at all?

I know someone who gets their console and Madden tonight, he'll be giving me details after the embargo lifts. Not sure if he'll be streaming or not, but I don't see why he can't.

I imagine anyone with the goods can show us what we want to see after that point.

Please let us know his opinions. I'm just curious. I don't even need gameplay because that is only a couple days away now.

Re: Madden NFL 25: Hands-On Impressions from Polygon

"We saw receivers attempt to stay inbounds while making catches along the sideline, a feature Madden's developers have struggled to implement for years."

Wow, it's 2013 and they are still trying to get the simplest gameplay feature down. Bottom-line, we will never get a true sim football game. A game that is brought to life with real football player nuances, emotions, signature styles, authentic animations, etc. Real strategic football not the "Learn how to play Madden football" (there is a difference by the way). EA will always deliver the basics with the marketing hype feature of the year (which is normally over done), push the pile, run to daylight, infinity, locomotion, ignite, etc. Just never stops, but never really improves. So sad!

Since these items cannot be delivered and consumers are growing tired and angry, they have now resorted to hiding from us, aka closed marketing or imagery. "they will buy it on hope this year and we will promise next year"

I just got some hands on time with FIFA Next Gen on the PS4. This game is based on the Ignite engine (as we're all aware) and the majority of improvements for Madden next Gen are selling points for this game as well.

The actual gameplay graphics are improved but were not amazing. The crowd noise did not stand out either, I scored and the crowd noise went up but to be honest if I had not known this was an added feature it was not noticeable. Crowd looks decent during closeups but as some people already pointed out the first time the camera zoomed in there were a lot of the same characters doing the same animations.

The biggest negative I found were to be the cutscenes after a player scores, Madden has given us a lot of close ups of instant replays showing off skin sweat and all that good stuff. The cut scene's in FIFA looked like current gen. If this is any indication-which I believe it is- of what we can expect from Madden next Gen prepare to be underwhelmed.

One thing I forgot to add, I am hoping this feature is in Madden- after scoring a goal the celebration by the players from the default view was natural. The players did not stop and then go into what was a predetermined animation-it all flowed naturally which was pretty cool.

I don't want to get off topic but just wanted to say I played the FIFA 14 PS4 demo today and I respectfully disagree with most of this. I thought the crowd noise was VERY noticeable and the game felt and looked great. Now I do agree with the cutscenes comment after a goal, this bothers me in current gen as well but I always press X (Playstation) for a default celebration.

Again to keep this on topic as much as I liked the look and feel of this new Ignite engine, I am optimistic that I will like the feel of Madden as well as far as player movement goes (Running Backs cutting and avoiding contact in particular).
