Just curious, for those saying "gameplay looks like current gen". What would have to happen on the court for you to say it doesn't look like current gen? Serious question because I don't watch much basketball. Can someone give a specific example of something that could happen on next-gen that could never happen on current gen? (If thats what you mean by looking the same)

The rest is personal perference imo. You can speed up or slow down the game.
But before he gained control, Noah didn't even look to rotate or front the post. Was just following his man aimlessly. He didn't take control of Noah until Lamb was already past. And again Dunleavy didn't do anything, just stood there.

The rest isn't personal preference. Maybe in regards to whether or not people enjoy this game and this style of gameplay. The way the current physics system works, it prevents the game play from having any fluidity or explosiveness that you see in real life NBA basketball. Everything looks so clunky and unresponsive, as it has for the past few years now.

The possession that starts at 1:34 pretty much sums up 2k basketball as it has stood for some time. Slow rotations, a bunch of running into the invisible defender wall, an easily blocked paint shot and then another block on a jumpshot, that if the passing physics were tuned properly should have been off before Boozer ever ran from all the way across the court and blocked it. This also is because of a larger issue of congested spacing and player size in relation to the court that haven't been resolved for some time and also animations that take way too long such as the gather and catch animations.

So you are looking for perfect execution from all players? Even on pro difficulty? If everyone was always in perfect position, made the perfect pass, made the perfect dribble moves. It would look like good but that doesn't seem realistic. I agree that you never want to see a player to look dumb but I didn't get that feeling watching that but like I said I don't watch basketball like I'm sure most of you do. Thanks for the explanation though.

you now that i think about it..it really doesn't matter what system it is on when it come to this game..its just that that it is being made the same ppl so certain things that ppl want changed or fixed haven't been done yet so ppl say it still reminds them of current gen version..not so much because its next-gen cause the things that ppl want could be change or fix on any system really...alot ppl will buy this game on any system

but for i would like more control of my player which i can't tell if this game on next gen is like that or not cause i haven't played it, like for the players to act like they have a brain and think like nba players, referees making the right calls..just somethings i would like to be fix or change but i haven't play the next-gen version yet

The halftime interview was a good addition PERIOD! Why is the reaction so ridiculous,"Rose answered a question before going to the locker room.. oh lawd" show me a looses ball situation with the guy your controlling running full speed after it and not jogging. I can't wait to play this (not a port)game. 2k14 for ps3 is really 2k13.5 for a reason. Everything that 2k14 next gen is was supposed to be what current gen received except for park mode. That is why we didn't get the DLC from last year(fake crew mode). We have it for free now in 2k14 called Crews. They made it possible to block shots but that was always possible until the unfinished 2k13 released. They left enough out of 2k13 to put it in 2k14 so we could feel like it is great. #TACTICS We had online leagues. Now we have them again and will be looked at like it is a new mode. I will get the super juiced all new 2k next gen video game because it is my only option( we STILL have no 5 on 5 LIVE). I play 2k and love it and hate it but I refuse to drink the kool aid they serve. I have every copy since the first 2k except for 2k12(worst) so I have experience just not an ultra fanboy.

A few things:
- zooming out to give you a bird's eye view when coming up court off baseline inbounds
- shifting the camera to offset the dribbler more toward the edge of the screen when standing in the front court (around 35 ft). In the current one, you can't see what any of your teammates are doing unless you stand right by the 3PT line
- zooming in much closer during free throws
- zooming in much closer during fastbreaks. LD2K hates this though so I might pull it back some. Personally, I kind of like it cause it feels a little more visceral. Your vision kind of gets limited when you're in transition, so i was trying to replicate that feeling.

I'm sure I'll be making a few more tweaks after playing with it some more.

So asking for faster pass physics and increasing the speed of gather and catch animations is unrealistic? Wanting guys like Rose and Westbrook to have a noticeable speed advantage, and have that ability to change direction on a dime, like they have the capability of doing is irrational?

The difficulty of the game shouldn't effect the whole logic of defensive strategy and basic fundamental principals. Especially on a team that implores a defensive strategy of stopping all ball entry. I shouldn't have to play against my own team and the AI at the same time. That is a really poor justification.
