It would be pointless now because of CCM. You can't take edited rosters into franchise, they only work in play now games

EA reminds me of the BCS were only they know the true formula for how they come up with ratings. The only logic for the way EA rates players, that we know of, is when we vote on ratings lol. I'd take Dan's formulas any day over a bunch of slappys clamoring about who should have a 99 speed.

Correct, and it is an issue this year. However, the project will continue and will look toward M14 with a hopeful return of editing for a franchise/CCM mode. Thanks for the vote of confidence BTW.

I looked through the top 50 players on FBG ratings. Not only from a 49er's fan point of view but as a person who loves football just in general, having Justin Smith as an 83 overall is an egregious error.

The problem that is absolutely inherent with a tiered system of rating (where one player is considered better than the other) is that the creator(s) is completely ignoring the idea that two players can overall be as effective as the next, yet excel in different areas.

I am obviously not DECEBB but just wanted to let you know, I believe there is a couple places in this thread that he has stated that Justin Smith's rating, factors in the fact he was injured. After the season starts, week 3 if I am not mistaken, he will be updating players again.

If on the FBG website you scroll down, it talks about Justin Smith's injury on his info page.

I noticed his post about Smith's injury and how injuries effect ratings. I don't agree with this but, it's not my personal baby.

My only suggestion then, if that's the case, would be to take a look at how effective Bruce Miller is. Fullback is one of those positions that a player will only get recognition if he's been in the league for 13 years at the position, so it's a shame that no one notices just how effective he is.

I got some of the updates in last night. Only about 1/9th of them tho. More to come tonight. The roster updates are from the 19th. There will be another update before the regular season starts after the practice squad players are designated.

Smith will be around a 92 or 93 once the update from the 19th is completely uploaded to the site.

As for Miller and your previous post regarding different skills, look at Miller's ratings. He has very good AWR for a one year pro (82) as well as very good physical skills. Even his RBK (70) and PBK (66) is high. The same hold for his IBL (80). In a system where 70 is a universal average, he is rated quite well. However, his abilities as a ball carrier are what is holding his OVR rating down. The low ability to muscle through tackles, see holes, and employ special moves in the open field are holding him back. Once adequate and CONSISTENT evidence of this is provided for, they will be adjusted.
