That being said, I really don't want to get into a breakdown of the pros and cons of this demo because, basically, it's just a demo and EA is good for tightening, adding, and worsening and removing things in their demos, all the time but I am hoping that they've worked on the limbs part of tech, focusing on arms. Cats are not wrapping when they should nor do they try to brace themselves if they happen to go down when they may have time to. I really hope to see that in the retail version but if it's not there this year, I DON'T CARE! This is good stuff and I see improvement on it coming over the years.
Oh, not to mention, IE feels much more loose and organic compared to Euphoria for Backbreaker. THAT engine was STIFF in that game. Be real, ppl.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

I am a casual football gamer at best...really prefer baseball and the Show has me hooked. But that being said, I dl the demo to my PS3 today and...well...I was not real impressed.

As many others have already said, the look of the actual gameplay makes it hard to immerse myself in the game. Guys go down when barely touched...and even by running into their own blocker. The physics just don't seem ready for primetime yet in my opinion.

I usually play coach mode in football games because my stick skills are pretty bad...but in the demo on AllPro I was able to pass for 2 TDs against the 49ers (I was Giants) and sustain a few other drives. I thought I'd get hammered but I actually fared pretty well. I don't know if that is good or bad!

Anyway, my son loves Madden and will be buying for his 360 as he plays online all the time, so there will be a sale in this household. The gameplay just did not do it for me but I will keep an eye out for more opinions and patches if and when they come to see what improves.

I've been playing it since yesterday and I enjoy it a lot. It feel`s a lot different compared to recent Madden's and it may very well be the best Madden. It'd be nice if someone could come up with sliders that are very realistic. There are, however, a few things that are bothering me about this game
.
- WR Control: I feel like the user still doesn't have enough control over the WR. I hate it when I throw a deep pass and the reciever just keeps running even though the ball is behind him. Then it gets picked off. I dont know if you can, but can you strafe as a WR? This would make it a lot easier and less frustrating. Hopefully in the future we can get a Jump Ball mechanic.

- Jumping: Everytime I press Triangle, the player Im controlling never jumps. Is anyone else having an issue with this? Im just left with my player standing there while the WR or DB jumps up to catch the ball.

Man Coverage: I've noticed a couple of times that when I have a DB in man coverage, the reciever he's covering is left completly open afte a couple of seconds... and the DB that was covering him is either blizing or on the other side of the field. Has this happened to anyone else? Hopefully this can be fixed.

Besides these things, this game is really good.

After playing the demo again, I have to say I'm happy and willing to finally buy in. This will likely be the first Madden I buy since M10, though I did buy and enjoy NCAA 11. I'm impressed with the commentary and presentation, which were the big huge problems I've had with this game the past few years. And I've had fun playing the game.

There are still flaws that I don't like, like the wonky movement and shoddy CPU AI at times, but all in all I like the effort that has finally been made to move this game forward, and CCM seems like it could be great.

Maybe it's just me getting older and far less cynical about things, but I'm willing to overlook certain flaws if the actual experience is fun, and for me this is a fun game.

Infinity Engine = EA hype at its best. Why when a guy gets barely touched he's bouncing all over the place like a pinball. Any touch has the guy spinning in another direction. Infinity Engine is more like outer space physics.

Agreed this engine was so hyped but we dk how its gonna turn out yet. Ill reserve judgement for the final product but needless to say my hopes are not too high.

Just watched Shopmaster's KC v Oak video. Anyone that was doubting changes to the physics engine from demo to retail please go watch that video. Not saying its even close to perfect as there are still strange situations, but the difference is night and day.

Played a game all-madden and won 28-19. Game feels pretty good. I like the physics, although i do not like the whole pinball type thing some other people have mentioned. The game is alot more realistic to me though.
