Madden NFL 13 Roster Editing Issue Rears Its Ugly Head

Editing inside of the franchise was such a major thing for me. Although I may be in the minority, I can honestly say that I spend 65% of my time playing with roster in just about every game. Rather it's doing the NCAA roster as part of the community team, putting together my draft classes for NBA 2K or going through stats for every position and adjusting ratings based off player performance each season I'm messing with rosters in some shape or form.

With that being said, this really is a vicious blow to me. I simply won't enjoy playing the game as much without the ability to edit every player to my liking. I will say that I am still interested in the game but I just can not go out on midnight as I've done for so many years to purchase this game this second it becomes available. It'll either be a rent or a used purchase.

Just when I was about to get over not being able to edit anything, this post comes along with that 49er avatar reminding me that when Ahmad Brooks came to the 9ers, he was coming off a stint at Middle Linebacker for the Bengals' 4-3. Now he makes his living as a 3-4 outside linebacker.

Try making a move like that in Madden 13.

Come on now. If stuff like editing brings down the house it just really bad design plain and simple. I'm happy with all the additions even if I wouldn't use them, but using the "we didn't have time" or it would create instability" excuses is just poor planning, poor design, or both when it comes to core functions.

You can do all the stuff you loved outside of CCM but you can't do it inside why? Maybe because you don't want your customer to do it or you didn't design or plan properly relative to what's important to you customer. It's really not hard to figure out.

I'll miss editing but I'm trying to figure out what I would have replaced it with in the design process specific to CCM and I can't find one...yet.

The "real time" on the field game play and even getting stats to come out in a realistic fashion, there is truth to this. But all the other stuff around the game, like the franchise code and presentation, not nearly as much. That stuff should have been really solid by now.

still could have been dumped...how much time went into it? Never saw anyone ask for it...how many of their fans own or use it? 18 million kinects sold, are 3 million of those to madden players? Time spent away from the main game is still time taken away. I would wager that it's the most useless addition to madden.
