Not necessarily in M12 they finally added full editing and we were told the process took 10 minutes, but they still waited all those years to put it in

It didn't make it in because it's terrible design decisions plain and simple. If editing creates bugs you already shot yourself in the foot for designing something that creates bugs that you've stated was important and will be back in at some point. Editing was important to people and it was in the game last year and if it creats bugs in this build or they just decided they didn't want to allow it then the design or the decision are both terrible IMO.

You really don't need 30 years of design experience to figure out that if you want to build a car with a smooth ride you just cant allow square wheels to be brought into the design you know.

This is mostly an issue because they are so awful at rating players. I really don't understand the movement to take so much control from the gamer.

Doesn't change that if editing rosters breaks the storyline, then it wasn't designed correctly.

dnmhii with all your game programming and design wisdom you should start a football game company. games are always buggy there are too many moving parts to design one without them. all the best designing in the world wouldn't prevent things from just not working together correctly.

How? Only EA can make a NFL or NCAA game...

If MLB The Show or NBA 2k can give so much control, there´s no excuse for EA. At least in my mind as a non fanboy or anti-EA consumer.

My best guess is that it (the removed features) would have been fine offline, but they couldn't get it to function properly online and since they want all modes to be synonymous, they decided to ditch it altogether.

The scope of the problem is more along the lines of a different size tire. The ride will be plenty smooth for the vast majority of drivers.
