Finally got my first win against CPU on heisman.

I was FSU and beat bama 3-0 in overtime.

Zone played a lot better in this one, my CPU controlled d-line had 5 sacks. But, on the flip side, not a single CPU scramble once again even with just nobody in front of him, broad daylight. Havent seen a single scamble yet.

I think the games feel way too ping-pong ish. Players move way too fast, game is arcadish. No interactive sidleines, interesting presentation. Little to no effort with everything. Not buying.

I noticed I couldn't scramble and gain 4-5 yards before the CPU figured it out, if that's what you mean. The CPU noticed my scrambling almost instantly when I headed towards the LOS.

Ok, played 5 games, all on Heisman. I'll go ahead and skip to the bottom line: This is a DAMN GOOD game that is improved in just about every area. Plays a really good game of football on Heisman without feeling cheated at all. Very impressive.

Pros:
--CPU RB AI is light years ahead of any previous NCAA game. It is incredible how much better the CPU RBs make cuts, etc.
--Zone defense much improved.
--Pass rush and LBs shooting gaps much improved. Very impressive pass rush, even on Heisman.
--Shotgun running is much improved, again...even on Heisman.
--The new tackling engine and the lack of suction is instantly noticeable and very imrpessive all the way around.

Cons:
--still not seeing many penalties. Pass Interference still nonexistent.
--CPU QB holds the ball way too long without either a. throwing the ball away or b. scrambling. No College QB worth his salt is going to hold the ball 7-8 seconds without getting rid of it.
--Too many all out/jailbreak blitzes by the CPU. This is a big reason for the Humans thrashing the CPU when the CPU keeps zero blitzing and leaving defenders one on one or even leaving a WR wide open. Blitzing is fine. Alll out blitzing is not.
--A few too many instances of my entire Defensive line/Front seven getting pancaked simultaneously by the CPU. Typical on Heisman, but needs to be toned down regardless.

On a side note, Oregon refuses to run out of Shotgun in this Demo. I swear they threw 95% of the time.

im definitely seeing some weird drops

Also, is it just me or is cover 2 zone useless on heisman? I dont understand how I am supposed to stop hitches. They kill man, so so I run zone, and my LBs just stand a yard behind the WR and let him catch it every time? What play do you run to stop hitches and comebacks?

Even though it probably doesnt effect ratings, I would set my feet and come to a stop and make the throw. The pass would just go 5 feet away from the receiver(who had been standing in place for at least 5 seconds). It didnt feel real at all. If it had went to him and he just bobled it or dropped it...I can deal with that. It was like my QB was a 5 year old all the sudden. This could happen two plays in a row...and then you fire a perfect strike for 35 yards down the field. It was just weird. It didnt feel correct at all for me. Maybe I am expecting to much out of this game, but until it plays correct football I would just prefer playing a few other sports games this year. I guess Im a little dissapointed, I was hoping EA would deliver a strike with NCAA and Madden this year. Guess I am waiting for Madden to show up or not.

Give it a download, who knows it may be a game for you. It sadly just wasn't up to my standards personally. It improved with tackling, and the defenders gaurded better....but don't get too excited, because I didn't think they were done nearly as good as they could have been. Just better then they had been. The game still feels like a arcade game. Don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing for others though.
I felt the passing was very realistic. College QBs aren't going to make a perfect pass over and over again, if that's what you were expecting. To me, it seemed like you were expecting a pass to hit the WR in the numbers 100% of the time. Coming from someone who had to cover KSU's Carson Coffman for a work..... you shouldn't be surprised if a QB overthrows a WR by 5 feet even when his feet are planted, then heave a great pass down the sidelines. But hey, we all want different things in a game, so I don't blame you if you don't like it.

Other than that the game plays what I expected which feels like a more polished version of NCAA 11.
I really wish they would change this as well. Even teams like Oregon don't do that for the most part. They will do a quick snap occasionally, but they don't do it all the time.

I think the other issue is the fact that no huddle teams can't subsistute players in between plays like in real life. For instance Oregon came out in a 4 WR 1 TE formation, and then the next play ran a formation that called for a RB. Since the no huddle teams can't substitute between plays they had to line up the TE from previous play at the RB position and gave him the ball.

I said this last year, but to mimic spread teams correctly they need to slow down the pace that they snap the ball in between plays and allow for them to make substitutions between plays.
