We were told that game was an earlier build, but I dont see a difference man, thats the thing.

Shoot, you look at the videos, do you see a difference? We just had a chance to choose any team, but it looks the same to me.

If I'm not mistaken we were told by the devs that the demo is pretty much how the final version is going to play. Since we're discussing about the demo, why haven't the devs replied to this thread? Is it because it's not patchable? I find it kind of discouraging that this thread has been ignored by the devs. Enough talk about the market is shrinking, we want answers to the glitches guys are finding in the demo. Thanks.

I think we all saw this coming...I may a thread about a month ago speaking of Elite not having any signature nor style and I was worried if the retail game would show any of this. The thread lasted quit a while 7 or 8 pages I think. And now that we have the demo its all to true, we are getting exactly what I thought we would get a bland game of basketball with NBA logos. rEAnimator, I don't see how you couldn't see this coming? You saw the reactions from the videos you guys put out, I think thats why there were so few, and instead we got clips and snippets trying to hide the games flaws! But EA knew that this game wasn't ready for the masses, my question is why are they trying to sell this game in this state? I mean afterall, rEAnimator even said this demo isn't far off from the retail version...I'm no EA basher, but shame on you guys for trying to put this off as NBA sim game, when clearly its months or years away from that!

I'm going to assume what see right now is waht we get in the Final build accept for the rocket dunks being patched.

Damn i was hoping it was a little more smoother to atleast make it playable as 2nd option this year for those who enjoy getting both games.

Don't ask me why i'm getting both i'm just hard headed i guess..............

You forgot option C... I didnt see the edit.

I just replied to the orginal post, but the piggyback from reanimator as if I was coming here to start another fireball was just wrong.


Playmakers, all of the different build talk to me, I saw no difference man. All the modes were there, and im sure the guys in NY right now are playing the exact same thing.

Wellllllll, I gave my impression of this game. Simply put it as a huge step back for EA Sports, I like the total control at the beginning of the game. but gameplay of the video game compared to NBA 2k11 is nowhere close! I said EA should put all of it's marbles into their other games and leave the NBA games to EA Sports. In this game Rondo took a jumpshot and landed 5 feet to the right of where he orginally took the jumpshot. apparently that is enough to get banned? for life?? All i said is if others want their 60$ well spent then to buy 2k11, which again is my OPINION OF MY IMPRESSION AFTER PLAYING BOTH GAME'S DEMO'S lol seriously there was no difference as to what I said as to what others have been saying, and all I said was MY IMPRESSION OF MY OPINION OF THIS GAME.

"Pretty much Ditto with most of the negativity surrounding the demo. Precision shooting was a good idea, but WHY HAVE IT IF ALL OF THE SHOTS ARE SWISH OR BRICK????? WHY????? In practice mode, I purposely moved the shot stick "slightly" left or right just to see if I would get an occasional "lucky bounce". No luck there. Moving the shot stick left or right only results in bricks or airballs. If this isn't tweaked, you can put precision shooting on EA's massive "gimmicks" list. I'm sorry.....but it's time to delete Elite."

No, the Venice build was 2-3 weeks earlier than the demo I think, and the retail build is 2 weeks after the demo build.

As I stated before the demo came out, the retail version will have the rocket dunks fixed, more tuning done on the shot difficulty along with basically 2 weeks worth of top ten issues and bug fixes.

It's not going to radically change how the game plays, but it will be more polished.

Patch details will come soon once we've collected all our feedback (including shot success data from the demo that we're collecting for tuning purposes).
