Dear EA,

I appreciate the outstanding work you guys have done in presentation and graphics. that's where it ends.

You updated all kinds of online stuff, i like the idea of 3 on 3 team play, cool move. But you didn't touch franchise at all? that's got to be a ****ing joke.

Gameplay is absolutely horrible. The strategy pad makes it impossible almost to make presnap adjustments. Running backs break 6 tackles per play. I've had Kelvin Hayden stiff arm Mangold and another Jets OL in a single play, seriously? It's impossible to cover the pass because players are just jogging around on the field. There's no sense in returning kicks because you will NEVER get passed the 20 yard line.

I've been buying this game at release every year since 03, and i won't be getting it at all this year.

**** you EA, feel free to email me when you come out with a new version of Madden 10, that game was fun, best Madden produced yet. I feel like you've gone back to sega genesis this year with Madden.

As has been said before... They severely limited the audio it was for download size. It still took me forever to download.

Couple more impressions... The field plays small to me vertically. Almost similar to the field of mlb 2k10... If that makes sense. Just seems like a yard should be more steps in the game. Give the user thr chance to make more moves, that to me would feel like a more dtailed running game and show off locomotion more.

Also just kind of weird is on FG animations all the D players jump to block at the...exact..same.. time. And height.

I've got in on preorder but will wait to see impressions. The play action thing scares me but even if it was in final build, it could be patched. I think sliders will fix most things... The ncaa prgression thing has me worried about year two in an offline franchise

And with this post, I'm done looking at this thread (don't know I was in the first place). I'm just gonna enjoy the demo and the full game instead of reading all of these hilariously bad & negative posts.

At the risk of sounding sarcastic, I want to say this: I sincerely hope you find deeper meaning in your life. This is simply a video game. If the product does not induce to engage in constitutionally protected commerce with the said incorporated entity, you are free... Nay, encouraged to act as you see fit. However to allow a product which in your eyes is subpar (and may I remind you fair sir on which you have spent nary a shilling) to cause you such a commotion may lead to hypertension, and hemorroids, and divorce. Its just a game, a mere bauble to occupy otherwise idle hands, and one I will most likely purchase without profanity or personal comments. And enjoy, for I know it is just a game, a greater happiness will find you when you reach that realization.

... The qb seems very clunky in the pocket. Like his scramble is always a half second too late to avoid the sack... It sucks when I'm used to tucking and running , but again... Sliders lol

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here

The Bad News:

Turn off GameFlow, and you're basically playing Madden 10 with some slight locomotion tweaks. The route-based passing is still terrible. You can still make passes in the middle of a route and have your WR magically change his direction and catch your ball. The running animations (specifically the jukes) still look atrocious. Example. Flick your right analog to the left while being approached by a DB, and watch how your whole body morphs into the grasp of your defender, and then magically warps back out. This happens in NCAA 11 too (and NCAA 10...and 09..and...). It's a horrific running animation that just defines EA's struggles with animations in general.

The Good News:

GameFlow is a definitely a bigger factor in M11 than you may have initially believed. The ambiance of an offensive coordinator yelling into your ear surprisingly helps you focus on your team better and contributes to making you feel like you're in an actual NFL game. And for the most part, the computer does a nice job of picking plays for you. I'm not sure how long it'll take to get stale and old (I already bumped into several repetitions in the demo), but it was good enough that it almost made me forget about the horrible animations that plague Madden 11. Overall, GameFlow may be the first original addition that EA Tiburon has created that I would love to see other companies implement in their future games (assuming EA eventually lets go of the exclusive license).

As far as presentation goes, EA made a few improvements in that area as well. Gus Johnson is better than Tod Hammond. Duh. The overlays seemed a little more relevant (half-time scoring leaders were prominently displayed). And the intro is more engaging with added camera scenes of QBs getting out of their lockers and buses. It's still not as good as ESPN 2k5 and Chris Berman, but it's a step in the right direction. Also, half-time is "technically" removed, but EA still runs a summary of the major plays before the 3rd Quarter. There's just no overlays describing each play. Needlesstosay, ESPN 2k5 still rapes EA here.

Overall:

A passable football game that's probably solid enough for your rank-and-file NFL fan to buy. It's basically what M10 SHOULD have been had they polished it more. However, if you've been spoiled by ESPN 2k5 and Backbreaker and their more-dynamic animations, you probably want to skip Madden again. Locomotion is NOT the feature that finally gives Madden a respectable animation system.

Just Report them.

We're trying to clean it up. Negativity is fine, however non-constructive criticism, telling a developer to "**** off", etc. is not.

it is quite clear that EA is not the complete installs or comments in the demo? but it will only show further, it will be about!
and the audience noise, you really believe that the stay that way? So please ih hope this is not your serious, it is clear that it is better in the full version! as I said, it is a DEMO!! no more
I personally find the demo class, have played several hours yesterday, and have never been happier .. the full version can only be cool!
EA has done a really good job! I can not understand how some people can get excited about a demo So not really calms you, but all again, and be not only constantly bleat on!!
