I think you guys might want to go back and actually play '09. The difference in the speed alone is huge. I'm not talking about overall game speed, I'm talking about the fact that players with elite speed are no longer super easy to get outside and make big plays with.

In terms of getting pressure on the QB, are you guys looping the defensive line (DL adjustment, up on the right analog stick)? That makes a noticeable difference.
I have to echo these thoughts although my time with the demo has been limited. Let's just face it, the bitchers and moaners have taken over the NCAA forum.

I have thoroughly enjoyed what I have seen so far. The player lock is an awesome feature to me.

Heisman is no better. I just went back to the demo and made Tebow look like Michael Vick's brother from another mother. I was doing that run backwards, jump around and throw across the field animation and still completing passes. I hope you guys plan on playing with close buddies in online dynasty because this junk is going to ruin your experience otherwise.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

just thinking about the intro with the band and i thought it was pretty cool, but how hard would it have been to have the same camera angle with players warming up, punting, kicking, throwing and run routes? It seems logical that this could be done? Oh well, I do like the game speed and some of the fluidity of the animations. I also liked the CPU DL pressure. I haven't made up my mind if I will purchase, but hpefully playing more I will. My first game I was driving to the 2 yard line with 10 seconds to play. I was Florida and tried a QB dive out of the gun with 2 backs. I got stuffed. I kinda liked it, knowing that the CPU D can step up and make a big play. This was on All American.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

I mean, look, I agree that it's not perfect. The pass rush is underpowered (although I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as some guys are saying it is, and a big part of the problem is that the CPU throws the ball pretty quickly whenever there IS pressure), and there are some select issues with coverage (man coverage could probably still stand to be improved a little bit). But it's clearly not the same game.

On '09 I could run around with Tebow in the backfield from sideline to sideline every play, and then throw lasers downfield with ease if I wanted to. You can't do that on this game, you just can't. The coverage is a TON better. Sure, guys might still catch the ball, but they don't have their man beat by 10 yards 3 seconds into the play, and the defense will occasionally make a play on the ball and come up with an INT. The elimination of the speed differential impacts gameplay for the better in so many ways that it's impossible to even articulate fully. The tipped passes and lame duck throw out of sack passes add an element to the game that wasn't there at all last year.

Argue that you don't like the game, fine. But there's no way you can argue that it's the same as '09. There's just no way at all.
