Re: Forza 3 Discussion...

question for those more familiar with paint mode.

If I make a custom vinyl shape, when I got to apply it to my car, can I adjust the size of the shape? I ask because there's some custom logos I'm planning on making but I wasn't sure which car I wanted to put them on so I was just going to make the shape first then stamp on my car of choice later.

Re: Forza 3 Discussion...

Adjust shape, rotation, skew...flip it, spin it, etc.

You just layer a bunch of shapes on top of each other to design some of these crazy things you see.

cool. yeah I remember how the layering thing works from Forza 2. My thing is, in Forza 2 I just created all my designs right on the cars themselves instead of making shapes first and then stamping them on the cars, so I wasn't sure how that worked.

Re: Forza 3 Discussion...

You can create a vinyl group and save it as just that. Unlike Forza 2, where it was loaded as an entire paint scheme (if I remember correctly), in Forza 3 you can save either the car itself or just the group. So if you make a "logo" for your designs, you can load that group and drop it on anything. I haven't tried to resize the group, though...is that what you're asking? Whether you can resize the entire group, or just a shape?

yeah that's what I was asking, sorry I wasn't more specific.

Re: Forza 3 Discussion...

I really like the ability to make vinyls separately (as you all are discussing above)... I made a Virginia Cavaliers logo and it was so much easier to work with painting on a blank 2D workspace rather than on the side of a car. I put that logo up on my Storefront if anyone is interested, BTW.

Also, if anyone wants a sports team logo of some sort that isn't on the Storefront (or is available for more money than you want to spend), let me know and I can try to make it and then gift it to you. I enjoy working with the vinyl editor, for better or worse, and that feature is actually the reason I became a fan of the Forza series in the first place.

I've got a challenge for you.

Make the VT logo. Oohhh... you could make the oldschool VT logo.
