I think Lidstrom retires after this year, doesn't matter they'll just sign Suter to replace him :

I believe the top federal rates are similar (about 30%). Huge difference between provincial & state taxes, though. Texas & Florida have no state tax, Pennsylvania 3%, Illinois 5%, New York & California 9%. By comparison: Alberta 10%, Ontario 11%, BC 14%, Quebec 24% (!). Plus a lot of things cost more up here.
